Camping Naranjo de Bulnes

Reception is on the river side of the road.
Although it straddles the road we heard no traffic noise at night.
There are excellent showers and cleaning/laundry facilities.
There is a good little bar and canteena menu style restaurant on site but it is an easy walk in to town for a wide choice of excellent restaurants.
From town the excellent Potnes bus service gets you to the heart of the mountain walking area and the funicular

Stopped along my solo bike tour, great service all around, lovely tent pitch area (next to the river). Food was delicious, facilities clean and in excellent shape (first time I've seen a waterfall shower in a campsite). Everything's reasonably priced too. If I get a chance, will be back

Best campsite I have ever been to and very affordable. Staff is very nice and friendly. Reception is open very long and until late. If they let you pick your spot I recommend the uphill part, not next to the rivier. Very quiet.

A road divides the campsite, but it is very quiet at night. The showers are amazing: you can adjust the heat and you get lots of water. More than enough showers, toilets and sinks. You can use the washing machine for 5 euros and they even placed an extra machine when we where there because so many people used it. Everything is very clean.

Restaurant is fine, especially the burgers. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

If I need to complain: the lights where very bright. They turn off, but the green nightlight was still way too much and kept me awake at night until we put a garbage bag on it. But maybe if we paid more attention we would have picked a space not next to a light ;)

Really nice and clean camping. Even though it is a huge camping, it still has a relaxed atmosphere. The stream at the camping is really calming as well and ideal to cool down when the weather is hot. Location is of course perfect next to Picos the Europa national park.

We stayed here for 4 nights, I don’t usually write reviews, but I was very well impressed with this camping site. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This campsite is located right in between 2 valleys, so you’ll get a beautiful view wherever you look. Its quite breathtaking waking up surrounded my mountains and the birds chirping. We felt very at peace and the campsite was very quiet, very clean and well organised. There were plenty of places to get water from as well which makes something simple like rinsing hands easy to do without having to walk half a campsite. You will only be able to drive within the campsite between 7:00 and 00:00, outside that time the gates will be closed, this just leads to a quiet and safe environment for everyone. Showers have controlled temperatures and can get plenty hot if you that’s something you like. You will also be located perfectly close to all points of interest in the vicinity.

Would definitely come back. Recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

We spent here two wonderful nights at the end of July. We came without reservation as we usually travel spontaneously. And there was few free pitches big enough for our 7.5 m long motorhome. At the reception we got all the information about hiking roots in the area. Next day we took a bus 15 mins away from the camping that delivered us to starting point of the Ruta de Cares. That was tough but amazing experience. We came back to the camping place in the evening and had a dinner in the restaurant which is quit good and not expensive.
The shower and toilets are good here as well. The river and the road didn't disturb us to sleep
At the end we have only positive impressions about this camping!

Beautiful location at the side of a small river. Large trees for shadow, clean toilets, nice restaurant. One of the best campings I have ever been on.nhighly recommended

Very clean and modern toilet buildings, even equipped with rain showers and properly hot water. The reception is open until 23:30, with friendly employees, also English-speaking. Not as cheap as typical camp sites in France, but definitely worth it!

There is a road in between the two parts of the camp site, which is really quiet. Both sides of the camping have their own washrooms.

There is a nice restaurant at the entrance open for breakfast, selling bread and for dinner. The hamburgers and fabada is excellent - the pizza is just fine.

As for the location: this is pretty perfext as there are quite some hikes to make (Ruta del Cares, Bulnes, Pico Urriellu, Tielves-Sotres, ...). The village of Arenas de Cabrales is close by, at 15 minutes walk or 4 minute car ride. Parking is for free, and there are buses bringing you to the start of the Ruta del Cares and the Bulnes funicular in Poncebos. Using this bus is highly recommended as parking at the start is very limited.

I would recommend this camp site.

Fantastic campsite in a good location for mountain excursions. The pitches are very big and comfortable and crucially there are plenty of trees around to keep your tent shaded from the beating sun. Reception staff speak English and are very pleasant and helpful. Facilities are very good. There is a bar on site and a separate lounge room where you can play games, read books and charge your electronics. Walking distance to the town centre.

We camped there for two nights with our car and tent. We had the campsite by the stream and it was gorgeous views. The lady at the restaurant was very nice and we had a lovely time. Also close to most hike routes.

This is one of the best campings i've visitind in spain. Super clean, hot water and great service. The wifi is not great. Just enjoy the nature

Good place for cyclist. Very friendly in the reception, all the people there so happy and friendly. It is at the street but in the night be quit. Good sanitär. There is a open sozial room with TV, Power and WiFi. You can charge your Phone and sit inside, perfect. The Bar has good food and breakfast.

Loved it. Great shower block! Friendly, lovely staff. About 12 mins drive from start of ruta del cares trek (go early as parking can be tricky. Also it's 15km each way, not 11km as some websites say. Well worth it - walk, have lunch in Caín (potatoes and blue cheese!) and return). We also did a walk through a mountain village (number 9 Info at reception)

Clean campsite in the beautiful mountains. Friendly staff. Small supermarket close by in the little town (5-10 minute walk). Cycling good in the area.

Nice site with friendly staff. Good facilities and super location for Picos de Europa. Pitches are a bit small but adequate. Recommended for all and especially cider drinkers!

Great quite campsite with well maintained facilities and better then most in Spain, it is situated walking distance to the village that has all the amenities you would need.
