La Lonja

Great place to stay in the centre of Alicante, about 10 mins walk from the old town and 15 to the marina/beach so a little bit out and most places close early near it but there is a nearby Mercado close by.
The check in, is easy and quite inexpensive for early check in or late check out.
The rooms are fairly new and compact but very comfortable, clean and we had no complaints, the ensuite was just right with a great shower.
There is a cafe next to the reception but it closes early, although there are hot and cold drinks machines there, also a snack machine.
Over great value for money and definitely worth booking for a few days.

I stayed in a 1 person room for 4 nights and really liked it, the room is small but modern, has everything you need and it was clean. The breakfast is simple but tasty. The people are friendly and the location is perfect. Lots of small tapas places nearby. When I come back to Alicante I will stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Despite the compact size of the single room, it was brilliantly designed to make the most of every inch, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the incredible value for money. Given the reasonable price, the level of comfort, cleanliness, and the quality of services provided were outstanding. It's not often that you find such a well-balanced combination of affordability and excellence.

I stayed here for two nights and had an excellent stay. I had a single room. The room was small but very well-designed and fine for a stay of a few nights. Everything was very clean and I had plenty of hot water. The Wifi was very fast, even when uploading. My room was in the back and was totally quiet. I slept very well despite having just come from the USA two days before (and not being adjusted to the time change yet). And the price was very reasonable. I wish we had hotels like this in the USA.

Great location when staying in Alicante, your are 3 mins walk from the bus stop, there in the C6 bus that takes you to and from the airport Alicante direct.

The rooms are clean, bathroom was modern and well designed. The rooms are small but big enough for a two people and suitcases.

There’s a 24hr reception which is good as they lock the door at night which made us feel safe. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t tell you how that it but there are a lot of amazing breakfast places that we discovered in the near.

Definitely would stay here again as the price point is perfect!

Great value for money - we only paid 45 Eur per night for a Twin room with breakfast included and we received a fantastic service, a very clean room and a decent breakfast for what you pay. 5 minutes walk to the city centre and 15 to the main beach/port.
Quiet room with modern bathroom, a wardrobe and a desk plus TV. Super clean.
You will also find a bag on the beds with a night eye mask and ear buds for noises.
The breakfast is simple and it consists of a typical Spanish breakfast: A Coffee, a Juice (orange or pineapple), and a Tostada (slice of toasted bread with a choice of oil, tomato or marmalade). Efficient check in and check out which can also be done online.
One suggestion: the smell at the reception and in the lobby is not a nice smell, would suggest to create ambience and put a diffuser with essential oils at the reception.

Booked here for the bullring but also very central. Only 2 stars but rooms, whilst slightly small were very clean and had everything I needed. All rooms look into courtyard so while street very busy there is no noise at night to sleep. Can't say I heard other rooms either. They also supply earplugs and face masks perhaps due to previous comments? Didn't notice any 'smell' in reception as mentioned in other reviews

The rooms were just like on pictures, everything was on point. We stayed for two nights in the Hydromassage room with terrace. The location is in the heart of the city, everything can be approached on foot. The local Mercado is right at the corner, as well as the bus stop to the airport. The room was spacious and clean. They let us check-in earlier since our plane arrived early and there was an option to check-out late eventhough we only asked for it on spot. They even printed our boarding passes for us. Super helpful and lovely staff. Thank you for everything! I RECOMMEND!

I didn’t expect a lot from the hostel but I was surprised) small but very clean room with private shower and toilet inside. Looks like hotel rooms. Cleaning is every day, towels, toiletries included. Very clean bedding… Next to the bus stop to airport and central market. 15 min to the sea.

I had 3/4 star hotels that were not even remotely this clean and new...
The room with twin beds is spacious enough and there's also a tiny closet, enough space to have 2 luggages around -or space under the bed.
We had a desk with chair as well,tv, a nightstand with a double light and a socket plus2 usb. A courtesy bag with eye mask and earplugs for the night, the first not necessary (double curtains for total oscurity), the earplugs absolutely necessary cause walls are extremely thin.
Super clean, bathroom clearly new, spacious shower with amazing water pressure and temperature, enough space in the toilet.
10min walking distance from center and beach, surrounded by lots of places to eat.
24/7 reception, Vending machine with snacks and water and a 24/7 convenience store on the opposite side.
Imho a bargain for the price

Really nice hotel! The gentleman behind the receptions was really helpful and made sure we could enter our room earlier. Our luggage was already taken to the room. Location is perfect! Not in the busy night life street but a 5 min walk from it and 10 min walk from the beach. Room was great, clean and modern. Nice shower and perfect AC system. Would really recommend staying here! Great location and price! We only stayed one night, but do not have any complaints. The rooms are clean and well priced. They are small and no door covering the shower area, but for us (a couple) it wasn’t a problem. The bed was comfortable and we were worried about the pillows but they ended up being more comfortable than we expected. They also give a complimentary eye mask and ear plugs to help you sleep.

I had a great stay at La Lonja! The room was very clean. I agree that it is small, but it was definitely more then enough for just myself. Staff is friendly, checking in and out went smoothly. It‘s a bit of a walk to the beach (15 minutes), but there are bus stations close to the hotel. The AC was working perfectly. Felt very safe in the area as well.
All in all, I had a great time!

Staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The cleaning staff are very nice, cleaning the rooms very well. All areas of the accommodation are spotless.

There is no fridge in our room.
For basic accommodation is values for the money.

It was my first time in Spain and I booked the La Lonja because of the convenient location, price and the pictures/reviews I'd seen. It was flawless, very efficient and friendly staff, the room was small but immaculately clean and tidy so ideal for just myself, the room temperature was not too hot or too cold. Would definitely be back in the future. 😁

Has lunch here a few times. Absolute bargain.. traditional 3 course Spanish lunch with wine and bread 9 euros. Super fast service. Highly recommended for a proper experience of how ordinary Spanish people eat at lunch time.

This place is value for money. Although last night a neighbor on the next building was a senorita de Colombia singing very loud until 4 AM. The neighbors were complaining and she was very agressive. Selfish peoole are in every culture and i know the hotel cannot do anything about it.

Something to improve is that strong smell the reception has that triggers my allergies. There is no need to have that air freshener. They are so bad for your health and release VOC ( Volatile Organic Compounds). Eventually these chemicals will be banned forever. Please consider there are lot of people with asthma and allergies.

I will not return to this hotel unless the manager address this request.

By the way, the restaurant that belongs to the hotel is awesome abd only 8 euros for a 4-course meal. Even if you are not in the hotel, consider to go for lunch. The service is also great and grrat choices fir menus.

The hotel is great for short stays and solo travel for sure. Staff is nice and yes the walls are thin. I brought my own pillow after reading some other reviews and I’m glad I did! I would return — the location and price are fantastic !

The hotel is centrally located and provides easy access to the city's attractions and local amenities. I have also noted the excellent breakfast buffet and the convenient location of the hotel to the beach. Overall, La Lonja Hotel in Alicante is a great value for money hotel with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. La Lonja Hotel is better than some 4-star hotels!

Clean, comfortable hostal in a great location! The staff were very helpful too. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in Alicante.
