Casita De Covetes

We visited La Casita late in the season during the local fiesta, fabulous. What a week.
So many wonderful beaches to choose from, our favourite Peniscola.
La Casita has everything, fully independent with a ten metre pool to laze about in surrounded by olive trees and beautiful mountains, we barbequed every evening around the pool.
I am an amateur bird watcher saw bee eaters, harriers, eagles and more,
The owners were there if needed and very helpful but left us well alone.
Super holiday.

Was exactly what we were looking for. Rural with easy access to the coastal towns. This ticked all the boxes being nestled at the base of the Sierra Montsia mountains but only 20 minutes from the coast with beaches etc. Food in the area very good and very reasonable. 3-course lunch with wine and coffee from €10 to €15.
Over the valley, just a few minutes away were caves used by the ancients with cave painting dating back 8000 years.
The area is still one of those places where people would settle and enjoy the benefits of an easy existence.

We had a great weekend! Very cozy apartment, quiet and beautiful surroundings and great terrace ad swimming pool!

We had a holiday week in August and we booked La Casita de Covetes from Tuesday to Friday because Sunday and Monday was already booked. For this reason we booked a hotel room for Sunday and Monday near the area. After the payment, the owner canceled our Airbnb booking because he had another reservation in another website (I guess better than mine). We have to say that one of the reasons why we chose this apartment was because it has "Automatic reservation" in Airbnb. Be careful!

Teniamos una semana de vacaciones en agosto por lo que reservamos La Casita de Covetes desde el martes hasta el viernes porque el domingo y el lunes no había disponibilidad. Por esa razón tuvimos que coger una habitación del hotel en la zona para el domingo y el lunes. Después de pago, el dueño canceló la reserva de Airbnb porque decía que tenía una reserva en otra web (Imagino que mejor que la mia). Uno de los motivos por lo que elegímos este sitio es por tener "Reserva automática" y así no tener problemas. ¡Tened cuidado!
