Hotel Cerro De Hijar

Truly a hidden gem, and a place we will be back to for sure. Location and views are amazing, and there are cozy common areas with fireplace, games and pool table.

Very romantic and relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly but often hard to find, perhaps because of being understaffed during low season. Huge plus for being dog friendly and no pet fees! Breakfast was great as well, and don't miss out on the short hike (1.6km) up to the Vista point of the snow peaks.

We stayed here for a day in July and it was fantastic. Hotel is on the top of the mountain and has a fabulous view on The Valley and a village. Staff is very pleasant and welcoming, although on a first glance, their bar doesn’t look promising promising - they offered us a pretty nice bottle of wine and they also had Aperol. On the morning they were serving a delicious breakfast with fresh bread, buns and other traditional Spanish breakfast items.
Although the hotel is now fresh and may look old-ish - it doesn’t feel like that important, because service and everything around is on top level. I’d definitely return here to stay for couple days to escape from city routine.

Tricky to get to, but well worth it. The hotel, garden and views are a delight as are the staff - attentive but relaxed. Breakfast was very good. High standard of evening meal cuisine although I personally would like more vegetarian/vegan options. We'll definitely be back.

Great Spanish Andalucian style hotel, stunning views, amazing lunches and dinners and healthy breakfasts from the hotel chef and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Near to great mountain walks and valley walks with waterfalls. High in the green and wooded Sierra de los Nieves National Park above the village of Tolox.

I have been here two times and I must say that this place is really unique. The dinner menues are some of the best I have ever tasted. The serving is great. The area, nature and the sights from the rooms are so beautiful. Thanks :-)

Just a flying visit to see the amazing view over Tolox as the sun sets. All I can say is stunning, the facilities look amazing and clean, outdoor pool looks really inviting surrounded but a beautifully kept grounds. This would make a wonderful wedding venue.

It's the perfect retreat. Beautiful place, so peaceful. Had a fantastic lunch today. Duck was beautifully tender, and plenty of it. Fish with vegetables was perfect. The postre, pina colada mousse with coconut sorbet, was to die for! Very glad we returned for a visit today. Didn't want to leave...

What a great place to enjoy diner or have a drink. We didn't stay in the hotel. Only enjoyed the good food for a couple of days during our holiday. And great prices!

Shhh, don't tell everyone but this is one of the most tranquil places on Earth, views of heaven, located in the Parque Natural Sierra Las Nieves, excellent friendly staff and a lovely place to stay. We will definitely return again.

Great location and view, good food and wine too, can't comment on accommodation as only on day trip. The drive up may not be for the timid?
