Love the fact that the bar downstairs is just a Spanish bar - quite scruffy in fact!
BUT.... when you go upstairs there is a lovely little dining room with beautifully laid tables. A tantalising box is on one side full of unusual mushrooms. The food is real cuisine, prepared with meticulous attention. It is simply excellent!

The entrance is rather deceptive as it is of a typical Spanish bar front on a main street in the centre of Águilas.🤔

However, on entering the bar you will be ushered to a door that leads to the perfect restaurant experience. 🥂🇪🇦🥂

A superb establishment run by the owners with "Gustó" and friendship!!

We happened upon this on TA and popped in for lunch. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for refurbishment until June but we ate in the bar anyway as the kitchen was open. The food was lovely and our server as helpful as he could be given the language barrier! The scallops were perfectly cooked and the homemade bread was yum. I have to say the tenderloin beef - which was what I would call rose veal was the nicest plainly cooked meat dish I have had in ages. Seasoned perfectly and cooked fairly rare - tender as you like and I liked it very much!!! I nice little thank you in the form or your tipple of choice too. I had a lovely almond liqueur!

Sensational little upstairs restaurant. Excellent service, great wine and the food... superb. Probably the best shrimp I've ever had. Worth making a special trip to Águilas for. I hope to be back soon.

Obs, you have to go upstairs to get to the restaurant. You will not be disappointed, the meat is VERY good. We were 7 pers and we all liked the food very match.

Good food upstairs is lovely, looks like a wee bar from the outside just go in and ask for a table in the restaurant it's worth it.
