Hostal la Ruta

I ate dinner here to be able to park in their car park overnight. You need to explain to them so they give you the code which opens the key box at the entrance to the car park. There is a chain across and the key for the padlock is in the locked box.

I ate their fabada, although it wasn't on the menu... it was so tasty and filling. Reasonably priced and washed down with a decent beer.

I recommend this place. The girls at reception were extremely kind and efficient and one of the waiters spoke fluent English. A great place to eat, before, after or during the gorge walk!

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I did eat at their restaurant. Their coffee was great, as well as our food that we ordered. Everything was homemade and reached our expectations.
The service was good, and our waiter spoke English, which was amazing!!

Terrific hotel. Amazing staff and great food. Close to the best hiking trail in the area. We had to leave early in the morning and the staff left us a nice little breakfast for our journey out of the goodness of their heart.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a nice meal here after a long hike. Kitchens were closed in all hotels but staff here went out of their way to help a couple of starving walkers!

After a long hike through the Picos me and my boyfriend were welcomed by the kind and very service-minded, english-speaking Antonio, who moved some things around to check if there was something available for us. We got a very nice, cozy and clean ensuite room for a very reasonable price. Their Covid-precautions were also on point. The restaurant/bar/terrace offers everything from big dishes, snacks, and beverages for a good price in a very cozy atmosphere. We felt very welcome and will definitely stay there again, if we ever get to adventure through the Picos again :)

I went to la Ruta for lunch. Very attractive price for the quality and portion sizes. The staff is very kind and aware of your needs. I will come back for sure!

Als je een unieke plek zoekt van waaruit je Ruta de Cares kunt lopen moet je hier zijn. Fijn hotel met super kamers. Spaans ontbijt (voldoende en lekker met koffie en toast of iets zoets)

Fijn bed en goed uitgeruste badkamer.

Parkeren kan (gratis) naast de hostal (zeg maar gerust hotel)

Lugar ideal para descansar después de hacer la ruta del Cares. Habitación súper limpia, con muchísimos detalles que hacen la estancia mucho más amena. Vistas a la montaña y descanso más que asegurado. La chica de recepción es un amor. Desde luego este hostal merece un diez. Volveremos el próximo año.

Nous avons passé 6 nuits dans ce petit hôtel charmant au cœur du Picos de Europa. Rapport qualité/prix impeccable avec un accueil chaleureux. N'oubliez pas de ramener du miel maison!

Estuvimos de senderismo por la ruta del Cares y tuvimos la oportunidad de degustar los magníficos menúes que ofrecen en el restaurante. Muy bien servidos, abundantes, de calidad, precios muy competitivos y atención muy buena, Muy recomendable !!!

La verdad que me sorprendió este hosta ,las habitaciones súper correctas,no le faltaba detalle y muy limpias,comida correcta ,personal muy amable y atentos .

Quería contestar a la persona que se molesta por pagar 0,5€ cuando le cobran por añadir orujo a su café. El alcohol se paga, como cualquier otro producto que te sirvan.

Cené allí y comida muy rica.

Un menú sencillo pero riquísimo.

Nos quedamos a comer despues de la ruta del Cares. La comida y el servicio fueron buenisimos.

Superplek om de trail te lopen. Geparkeerd na verzoek achter de ketting bij de hostal. Het eten is heerlijk en bier perfect. De huidige eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk zoal ook het personeel. Jammer dat zij er mee gaan stoppen en niet meer terug komen. Zij hebben het de afgelopen 6jr goed neergezet. Hopenlijk de opvolgers ook. Wij vonden het een toplocatie zo dicht bij de start van de wandeling.
PS: Buscampers vanaf 6m en Campers raad ik sterk af ivm de zeer smalle weg er naar toe, zeker om uit de problemen te blijven. Trouwens weg is verboden voor Campers ongeveer 5km voor het plaatje Cain del Valadero.

Hostal con ubicación sensacional. Tiene una terraza exterior muy grande. Llegamos hambrientos de hacer la ruta del cares y no hubiésemos podido tener un desayuno mejor. El pan estaba espectacular, nos pusieron tomate natural y múltiples opciones aunque no las habíamos pedido. El café riquísimo también. La atención muy buena y la relación calidad precio sensacional. Un gran acierto

Nos han atendido fenomenal y la comida está muy buena. Caín es un destino impresionante y merece la pena quedarse para conocerlo.

Nos ha encantado la estancia que hemos tenido durante 4 días en este lugar!! Las personas que trabajan allí son maravillosas, nos explicaron todo perfecto, su comida es excelente (el chef inmejorable), un lugar tranquilo y acogedor con personas que hacen que el viaje sea inolvidable!! Las habitaciones muy bonitas, una decoración preciosa (no dejan atrás ni el mínimo detalle). Mucha naturaleza y desconexion. Desde el hostal nos recomendaron como realizar la ruta. Sus desayunos son súper completos, las vistas espectaculares, el ambiente tranquilo y los trabajadores encantadores! Recomendación 100%
