Hotel Amaraigua

Unforgettable experience!😍 The hotel and staff were excellent! When we arrived to check in, we were greeted by the very friendly and smiling receptionist Monika, who opened champagne as a sign of welcome so that we could toast our arrival🥂. The room was clean, tidy, cleaned every day, room always smelled good✨. Our room had a view of the beautiful park and the sea🌊.

The food in the hotel was excellent and superb🤩.Everyone finds something for themselves! There was a huge selection of food, drinks and desserts, fruits.

The hotel is all inclusive. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Between meals, when snacks were also always available (chips, croissants, salty snacks and also soft drinks, ice cream). There was also an open bar for a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and the best cocktails prepared by always smiling and very friendly and helpful waiters☺.

There is also a courtyard in front of the hotel, there is always something going on, and in the evenings there is a DJ.

The hotel is located literally on the beach, which is a dream!🏝☺

A special thank you goes to Ms. Monika, who was extremely kind to us, smiling, helpful, communicative, she really is a sweetheart!☺

It was an unforgettable vacation. My partner and I will definitely return there🙏🏽☺!

The place was awesome, i went there with my friends during the first week of september. The staff was very nice and even allowed us to stay late in our room since we had a late flight. The rooms were clean and everything worked perfectly, the view was beautiful as well as the position of the hotel. Concerning the food i have to say it was okay, there was great choice but some desserts were not great but that is personal taste. In general i must say it was a great experience! Un beso desde Italia!

One of the best staff experiences I have had in a while. Monika in particular was extremely helpful and kind and made this experience 10/10 for me, especially as she speaks so many languages! Would definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I just came back from hotel and honestly the hotel was great. I am not going to lie and say that the previous reviews didn't make me sceptical. As I say it, if you don't try a place you won't truly know wether the place is good.
The workers were absolutely great, they were so nice and gave great service. One part which was great was the DJ, he did everything in his power to make sure that we were having the very best time. There are reviews complaining about the DJ not playing any music that you may request but in all truth he does. He is such a nice person and really does ensure that everyone has the best time posible. The music does not even go on for that long and stops at 23:30 which for a holiday I think is pretty reasonable.
The food is great contrary to many other reviews. Yes, some of the food was lukewarm but in the summer you do not want to have boiling hot food in the summer. The food has plenty of flavour and is not bland whatsoever. It's your typical Spanish food which honestly was great.
The room in general was great, the bed was extremely big and also very comfortable, contrary to other reviews. The only downside of the room was the bathroom due to the shower sometimes over flooding (impracticality due to not being much difference in the floors) but there are certain actions that you can take to prevent that from happening. The bathroom also had a little ventilator which turned on whenever you turned the light on so that also helped.
Yes, there was a sewer smell at times but I don't think the hotel is at fault for that issue. The smell was mostly in the bathroom (we didn't use the hallway that much since we were in room 006 and had a door out onto the courtyard).

Great stay! Hotel has a fantastic location, right on the beach. The entertainment was fun, we especially enjoyed the disco night.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have food allergies. I spoke to the chap in charge of the restaurant. He spent time with me going over what I could eat.

There was an issue with the bathroom in our room after the first night. I went to speak to the very lovely lady at reception and she immediately sorted it for us. Moved us to a room with an absolutely stunning view over the ocean.

We enjoyed a spa trip to the sister hotel just a few hundred metres away.

We would happily stay here again :)

Just returned home from 4 nights away with my wife and what a wonderful holiday we have had from check in to check out no problem, all staff are great room was huge and the bathroom was massive. Always something to eat and plenty to drink, clean and tidy and right on the beach. Very happy we came and look forward to coming back.

Everything was perfect! Staf is very helpful, meat testy (espetialy fish day on Saturday) and rooms are beautiful. Every evening is some program, so it is not time for boring if you need it. Bar on terrase with swimmingpool is full of good drink ;-). I reccomand to try it all.

This is one of the best hotel that i ve ever been to, very friendly, services are great, the food is very delicious, perfect location for a holiday getaway, 100%, its clean, and very relaxing. Monica at the service desk, always helpfull and such beautifull smile, very dedicated. We are all very thankfull. I will be going back very soon, and very often.😊🤗

Amazing adult only all inside hotel, at a great price. Right next to the beach, which is accessed via a gate from the rear terrace, and a great location for exploring the local shops and attractions. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food tasty with a great selection, so you'll always find something you like.

We stayed at your hotel and we are really delighted with the hotel, all the services and the whole team in which you feel comfortable. I would especially like to point out Ms. Monica who works at the reception. Very kind, helpful, pleasant, who speaks Bosnian, and thus made our vacation easier.
And special compliments to the animator German who spiritually brings a smile to every guest's face.

Our room was super, geat view of the sea and beach.. Staff very freindly and helpful.. Food was very good. Lotsof options.. Help yourself bar in the evening and some ok entertainment.. We went for relaxing stay and was not disappointed. Would recommend.

Just stayed for 8 days at hotel amaraigua, and honestly the most significant factor into my 5 star review was the STAFF!! They are absolutely incredible: they were all so friendly, welcoming, and helpful 24/7. German Bustos specifically, who DJs many of the evening events, was beyond kind & fun, and just generally awesome. Will absolutely be coming back next year.

The hotel was so good. And the service from the staff was incredible. They were all so nice and smiling all the time. When I first came there was a Bosnian staff member who gave us a bottle of champagne, she waa so Nice and helpful. I would really recommend this hotel!

I can only say everything best for the place and holiday literally on the beach!
Firstly we came from cold Denmark on 7.9.2022. and after the long journey it was pleasure to get welcome bottle of champaigne! It immediatley put a smile on our faces!
The room was very clean and every day cleaning ladies were comming in amazing time when the breakfast was served, so it was nice to come back to room to change for the beach at clean and fresh smelling room!
The stuff is very kind and gentle, mostly the queen from reception Monika who host us very well and made our whole vacation amazing, as well as German who was in charge for making every 'fiesta' very nice and funny! Moslty we enjoy the Mexico night!
Food was amazing it was inspired by mediteranean taste, but you could also find burgers and vienna snitzel with fries.
About the left overs it is very nice that hotel funcionate in such a stustainable matter in fact that next day you will get food in different way, which is very nice for invironment!
The hotel is just an hour away from Barcelona by train so it is nice that you can still visit big city! Don't miss magical fountains in Barcelona and don't worry you can always come back with taxi!
Malgrat del Mar is very calm place for couples but you can always found lots of 'fiestas' all around the hotel and inside of course!!

Had the best week here, we could not have asked for more. Plenty of variety & lots of food and drink available. Comfortable and clean rooms. Very friendly staff who put in a lot of effort, especially when it comes to the evening entertainment, you could never be left bored. Small pool but right on the beach so wasn't a problem. Very close to local restaurants and amenities if you want something to do.

Customer service excellent . Friendly staff . Rooms are clean and tidy all the time . Beach access from inside the hotel . Swimming pool has clean water . Beach facing bar is amazing . Also the day time bar serving coffee and alcoholic drinks with snacks is great . If someone loves fish then they might enjoy the dishes here. Food is ok but there is plenty of room for improvement . Overall an excellent stay

Came as a group of 7 millennials.

Will start with the only major negative which was the slightly weird smell perferating from the bathroom. However, it's bearable.

• Food was actually not bad. Obviously we're not looking at Michellin standard, and there's a bit of "recycling" going on, but overall a lot better than expected
• Staff are friendly and fun
• Location: bang on. Lots of hotels in the area, this appeared to be one of the only that was right on the beach.

Best adult hotel for dance entertainment food and drinks . Customer service is good and food is great . But one areas that could be improved is the spicy foods are not available . Rest everything is good . Customer service is great . We lost of swim bags in hotel bar area and never got it . A camera installed will Be more useful.

I can firmly say that Hotel Amaraguia exceedest our wildest dreams - I've left 5 star reviews before, but never one as emphatic as this. From the unlimited beer to the unlimited cocktails, our 5 day stay was highly memorable (until roughly midnight each evening) and great fun. A beach front gem. A particular shout out goes to the wonderful hotel staff that looked after us so well - especially the activities host who looked like a Spanish version of Richard Hammond. We called him Richard Jamón-d. To provide balance, I'll list some of the negatives:

Drinks - The champagne on arrival, whilst welcome hydration, was a vibrant electric blue in colour. The extent to which it originated from the Champagne region in France is up for debate.

Food - At our first meal we discovered that the prawns on the buffet were no meat, all shell. It was like something out of North Sea oil circa the 1980s.

Entertainment - karaoke on night 2 offered an opportunity for our group to flex their vocal talents. This was overshadowed, however, when James Blunt himself emerged from Room 134. After James' faultless rendition of 1973, we performed and were congratulated by a bald English man on "crushing the German couple on the next table", who had sung before us. The couple was Dutch.

Weather - A severe rain storm tested the fabric of the hotel to extreme lengths on day 3 of our stay. The building stood up about as well as Fulham Football Clubs defence upon return to the Premier League in 2019. The lobby flooded and water poured through the ceiling of our hotel room. The staff appeared to have a suspiciously slick protocol for dealing with this event. Further investment in drainage will be needed as the climate continues to change.

Drinks (cont.) - "Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink", goes the famous saying. The only fluid not easily accessible was water. The lack of hydration severely affected my Spikeball™ ability on days 4 and 5.

Other - Throughout our stay there was little to no recognition of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This is with the exception of the large number of elderly Brits lying "in state" by the pool each afternoon.

Chirpse - on our final night, a theme running throughout the week reached a head. The Spanish barmen had early on started developing affection for "la inglesa": the lovely young English ladies in our group. That 3 of the 4 were already in relationship was of no significance for the barmen. They adopted a 'double pronged' approach for attack. On the one hand, relentless offers were made to brew "special" nice cocktails and coffees for la Inglesa. On the other, a string of lethally strong cocktails were concocted for the male members of our group in order to nullify any opposition. Our homosexual group member was caught in the crossfire, being served these cocktails despite offering no opposition to the barmen. Ultimately none of the advances amounted to anything, as we headed out of the hotel to the club as an excuse to have some sticks.

Do not let this account put you off. None of these issues will stop us coming back to Hotel Amaraguia next year with the ultimate hotel critic, Phoebe Jacobson, in tow. Thank you for the good times.

Absolutely brilliant! Rooms are clean in fact excellent the hotel doesn't smell of sewage as some have stated it smells really fresh and clean the food accommodates all tastes the staff are really friendly and helpful. ..will definitely be booking again for next year it's our kind of holiday and the drinks are not watered down which after going into alinclusive in Lanzarote twice where the drinks are watered down is a refreshing change its not 5 stars but if you want that sorry you should be willing to pay for it!
