Stunning building. The site dates back to 11c. Same fascinating exhibit such as early printed books. Exhibits from the nobility wars.

Even if the city is not very beautiful, the Cathedral is marvellous and deserve a stop @Ourense. There is audio guide in 5 languages to enjoy your visit. We loved it! 🙏🏻💫

A must-see in Ourense, a significant cathedral and wonderful audio tour. My 2nd visit over the years, this place has many beautiful exhibits and amazing art. Serene, uncrowded and lovely -- a Galician gem.

This is a beautiful cathedral with a bell tower you can climb to, and it's not even so difficult. The cathedral has an audio guide (for a fee) and I saw people listening attentively throughout the many interesting rooms this big church has.

I wish I took better shots but as always, my love if history is never let down visiting these old churches. The town's and cities around these places is filled with history and local legends. I can't seem to get enough.

Beautiful Cathedral in the quaint Old Town of Ourense. The "Paradise Porch" is particularly striking because of the marble carvings of the apostles and was recently restored. There's also a nice statue of Saint James inside close to the entrance as Ourense is a popular pilgrimage route on the Camino de Santiago.The surroundings are nice too as the Old Town is well preserved and vibrant close to the main bars/ restaurants "Las Calles de Los Vinos".
