I had such a fun dining experience here. The owner (I’m assuming it was the owner) is a wonderfully warm and friendly man. And very proud of Galicia, the food, the history etc.

The place clearly has a lot of regulars, based of the banter and laughter I was witnessing and I can understand why.

As for the food - I didn’t ask to see the menu. I had wanted the Menu del Dia, but as it was now evening, this wasn’t available. I said I wanted a salad and a lot of meat, and this exactly what I got. And it was delish!! It won’t win awards for presentation, and the street isn’t scenic, but if I return to Pontevedra, I will return here for sure.

Had a great time at this restaurant. The bartenders very welcoming and the place filled for dinner with locals. The food was very good - homemade cooking with what seemed to be fresh produce.

It was the best food i had esten in spain, the restaurant owner was very fun and social. We got fresh tomatoes which were the best we have ever tasted and green pepper better than anywhere else!

It is the correct address for a local Galician dining experience! The owner is very friendly and you will definitely enjoy the traditional tastes of Galicia. I highly recommend trying “pescadidos” as starters.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "The Best Restaurant in Town", and I was very impressed. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick and efficient.

I started with the homemade croquettes, which were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I also had the red wine, which was a perfect pairing for the croquettes.

For my main course, I had the beef "Craco", which was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy.

Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at "The Best Restaurant in Town". I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

If there is a score above 5 I would undoubtedly choose it. We have traveled the entire north region in Spain and, hands down, this is the best food I had in Spain.
I’d recommend you the Pulpo, Croquettes caseras and Carne de croca.
We could not be happier. The owner who runs the place is a very nice person despite the language barrier.

the place where hospitality is amazed! We were coming to the place when the kitchen was already closed but we were left not hungry and they opened the kitchen for us. The dinner was perfect!

We came early (1900) and we were served by the owner like we were royalty. No attitude, only bonhomie. Love this place!

Don't worry if you don't speak Spanish, the owner is very good at communicating using the most basic of language and has his translation app ready to go. Trust him when he tells you which of the shellfish is in season and you can't go wrong. Better food and better prices than old town!
