Popped in for drinks and tapas. FULLY BOOKED...and I now know why !!! Tapas ...amazing..oriental noodles........pork satay. saharan squid... mini burger. Beers soft drinks (at bar table)... under 30 euros .... lovely boy behind bar told us we need to book....and I've advised we will.come up ..stay locally ...reserve a table and feast on these amazing dishes. Congratulations for this amazing bar restaurant. A real.treat . We will seeyou again soon xxx 10/10

11/09/22 This is still my favourite local-ish place to eat. I have lost count of how many times I have been to Taberna El Callejón. It's always good. The food is so different to anything else available locally yet with Spanish classics too for those who want them.

My favourite place to eat. Well worth the one hour round trip. Good service and gorgeous selection of tasty and some unusual tapas. Nice decor and clean, well stocked toilets too.

This is an authentic local taberna with a nothing-to-write-home-about exterior at the end of a short cul-de-sac and basic tables and chairs. However, the Tapas are superb, the service excellent and friendly and the value for money unbeatable. Lunch for 5 of us with as much food as we could eat and two rounds of beers and wine cost
55 €. No hesitation in recommending, but go early as by 2.00pm it was "standing room only"!

Great place full of locals, good tapas, reasonable price. Tried most things on menu all great. In an alley way with sun shades over tables. Very clean.

Fabulous place for tapas

Been here 4 times and will keep coming back. A hidden gem in a small town in Almeria. Even if it's packed as it always is, the service is still great.
