Tucked away from the frenetic coast, this is a real haven that really does feel authochthonous & part of the rolling landscape. It could not be more different than the hotel culture in the Costa del Sol. I loved the privacy of the place and the view from the porch across the mountains towards the sea. Beautiful. I also loved the amazing amenities: an immense kitchen, fully equipped, a games room and that outdoor patio and pool. There are plenty of trails to walk close by, and Casares is a short drive away. Highly recommended, also, is the breakfast for two and all the treats produced by the farm. The hosts were wonderful, too. Friendly and helpful. A total discovery!

We stayed at The Citrus Rooms for a week in January and it was simply amazing. The place is super comfortable, clean, tidy and very nicely decorated. The million-dollar-view, the land, the games room, the coziness,...too many benefits to name them all. Erin, Will and dog Oscar are the best hosts one could imagine. We will be back at our next trip to Andalucia and would recommend anyone with a love for nature to do the same.

Absolute amazing place! Great rooms, best view in whole of Andalucia and surrounded by stunning nature. Lovely hosts. The breakfast alone is worth coming back for. Definitely recommend.

Such a wonderful stay at the Wild Olive. Two families stayed for a week of fantastic adventures with Erin and Will who couldn't be more accommodating to our needs. The location is stunning and peaceful with great access to either the coast or the dramatic mountain villages. We enjoyed local Hikes and organised Via Ferrata, Canyoning and Horse Riding in an action packed time exploring the area, all fuelled by their superb breakfasts each morning on the terrace overlooking the pool. Can't wait to return for another stay, we found it so easy flying in and out of Gibraltar with just 30min drive from there.

The Wild Olive is one of the most beautiful, restful, and idyllic places we have stayed. Erin and Will have created a unique rustic but elegant hotel experience at their lovely farm. The abundant fruits and vegetables harvested from the site (courtesy of Salvador!) and the little custom touches throughout this finca continually delight. Order the breakfast—you will not be disappointed. There is a great communal kitchen, with a lovely patio, complete with a wood fire grill where you can cook whatever you like. Our week there was so relaxing and enjoyable we didn’t want to leave. But if you do venture out, there are multiple day trips to explore the surrounding villages and towns, and many great restaurants to try. Our highest recommendation!

We absolutely loved Erin's and Wilco's amazing accommodation, the serenity, the views and the finca itself. Erin and Wilco were very accommodating and helpful. Initially we booked a room with no heating but prior to our arrival, Erin offered us the possibility to stay in another suite equipped with a pellet heater because the weather was very cold at the time we went there. We greatly appreciated this gesture.

The room was very spacious, the mattresses were super comfy, the shower had great pressure. The common spaces were always impeccably clean, Erin stopped by few times a day to make sure everything was ok.
We also loved the possibility of ordering freshly prepared breakfast from locally sources food, it was divine.
There are some outstanding hikes in the area not far from The Wild Olive, the beaches are a 15 minute drive and the nearest town, Casares, is definitely worth visiting.

My wife and I stayed in the Palma suite for a week. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. It was so peaceful and relaxing being surrounded by nature, yet a drive to the coast for dinner only took 10 min.

Erin and Wil were fantastic hosts…they do so much for all their guests, and always with a smile. I highly recommend trying their amazing breakfast with items from the farm.

Can’t wait to go back…we have already booked another stay next month!

We've spend an amazing week in October in this amazing place. The lovely quiet garden with the spectacular view, a great swimming pool and a beautiful apartment. The Wild Olive is a perfect hide away for a memorable holiday. From the Wild Olive you can make great day trips to for ex. beaches, Ronda, Gibraltar and more. Thank you Erin and Wilco

An exceptional B&B by all standards: the location and views are stunning, the rooms are beautifully designed and decorated with great attention to detail and finally, Erin and Wilco are kind and welcoming hosts. The breakfast they serve is one of the best we have ever had in an a B&B: fresh, delicious and - as with everything else in this place - beautifully served!

Super clean and lovely B&B in a great location. Erin and Wilco welcomed us for our 14-nights stay and were super friendly and nothing was to much to ask.
We stayed with 4 people ( 2 adults and 2 children) in the spacious and very comfortable cottage with two bedrooms and a separate living room and our own (very modern) bathroom.
The kids (5 and 7) enjoyed themselves swimming in one of two swimming-pools, roaming around on the premises and doing
al sorts of activities, like freely picking fruit from the available fruit-trees.
With a great view of the mountains surrounding the property, the pool down-way the property was our favorite.

The B&B is perfectly located if you want to explore the surroundings and perfect as base for visiting several well known places on the coast and round-trips by car in the area. Also for walking trips in the area this is a fine place to start off. Erin and Wilco have a wealth of
knowledge when it comes to extra information about the surroundings, the villages and restaurants, so their suggestions for potential visits was well received.

The beach of Sabanilla’s is nearby and a good suggestion for visiting, especially when you go with little children, because the beach is gradually sloping into the deeper water, so a big bit of seawater is safe to play in for (small) children.
We would recommend to spend at least one day at Gibraltar (40min drive) and take the cable car to enjoy the great views and see the well known local Gibraltar monkeys on the way.

Offcourse we have seen a lot more of the surroundings and spend 14 days enjoying several outings and the great stay at this B&B.
We haven’t seen everything though, so we surely like to go back to this B&B to explore more of the surroundings.

We highly recommend this B&B for anyone that wants to visit this area of Spain, with friendly owners, clean rooms and if you want a great base camp for further exploration of the area.

Our friends and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa. We were made to feel right at home from the moment we got there. All the amenities you needed, plus more, were provided for already. A nice sized swimming pool, a table tennis and pool table for some “activity” pre and post BBQ lunches and dinners.

Surrounded by endless views of mountains, a lovely back garden to enjoy it from and the occasional visit from the neighbourly horses made this a magical place to stay over summer. I have no doubt that we will return soon, maybe even winter.

Thank you Wild Olive for a weekend to remember, in times to forget (i.e. Coronavirus). We shall hopefully see you soon.

Julian

Outstanding views, impeccable accomodations and hospitable hosts. We really enjoyed the spacious hall and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Plus, they have a massive bbq. Definitely get the breakfast and go hiking around Casares. We will come back for sure!

This place is worth more than a review. Very remote, middle of nowhere, pool, the views, own harvest, breakfast just amazing, European summer vibes. Very recommending if you want something peaceful and unique experience. Exceeded expectations, hope to come back sometime. Highlight of the trip in south spain.

We've had an amazing 12-day stay at The Wild Olive Andalucia! We visited the Bed & Breakfast in one of the hottest periods of the year (august), but thanks to the perfect location it was very pleasant.
Each day started off with a really nice breakfast (prepared by Erin, one of the hosts) with products coming from their own garden. During the day we relaxed in one of their two swimming pools. Especially the nature pool, with water coming straight from the mountains, was really nice. The sound of the frogs, crickets, birds, the donkey and the horses gave us a very soothing vacation feel.

The beach of San Luis de Sabinillas is just a 15 minute drive from the B&B and makes a nice break. If there, make sure to eat some sardines from one of the grills on the beach. A bigger beach nearby is that of San Roque, 20 minutes from the B&B and a bit more luxurious.

During the evening, make sure to have dinner at one of the great (!) restaurants nearby: Aroyo Hondo, The Forge or at the small village of Casares. Or just do some groceries and stay at The Wild Olive and make use of the kitchen or the BBQ.

We took a short break from our stay and visited Ronda and Malaga, which are both just a 1 hour drive away from Casares. But also Tarifa and Sevilla are nearby. So also for a longer stay, The Wild Olive is a nice place to return to between the day trips.

Altogether we had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend The Wild Olive as a perfect relaxing vacation stay.
