Mesón del Jamón

Great spot to eat in a small town. We arrived in Trevélez by car as one of our stops to see and found this spot on google. You will have to park the car at some point on the only main road that goes through the town and walk the rest of the way but it is easily found.
The gentleman running the place when we arrived around noon on Friday was friendly and the plates of ham and cheese were delicious and affordable. We loved the rooftop terrace but were forced to move inside after some of the local bees decided they wanted to join us for lunch as well. If you find yourself in this town give this place a try!

Stopped here on a Mountain Bike loop from Capileira. Perfect place for a refuel, a large beer and a view down the valley from the terrace. The owner led us to his secure back yard to store the bikes while we ate. Very friendly.

Beautiful views, gorgeous food honestly go there for dinner .We had prawns and trout with the unmissable trevelez ham and get the raspberry and aniseed liquor, locale of course and raspberry and lemon tart for dessert, 😋 delicious and such a low price.

Restaurante con comida típica alpujarreña, buena variedad de platos y raciones, calidad-precio fantástico y los platos buenísimos. Destaco los postres, la tarta yogurt y el helado de higo

Comida muy rica, ambiente acogedor y trato muy cercano. Sobretodo recomendaría el codillo y el helado de higos! Original y riquísimo.

Guiado por sus buenos comentarios venimos a comer aquí. Fue un acierto. Comimos en la la terraza, con unas vistas magníficas. Comida casera, abundante y muy buena. Enhorabuena a la cocina y al servicio

Todo casero, riquísimo, en un sitio con vistas muy bonitas y el personal muy amable y atento. Lo recomiendo muchísimo, para repetir!!!

El sitio es realmente bueno. Tiene dos plantas con mesas en el interior que no son nada del otro mundo,por los que recomiendo mejor salir a la terraza donde tiene muy buena vistas. Todos los platos son caseros y se nota cuando se prueba. El jamón es uno de los mejores de trevelez. Tiene una gran variedad de platos y están todos muy bien. El trato es excelente y tardan poco en servir. El precio es mucho más ajustado que otros de la misma zona. Por todo ello merece la pena ir a comer

Comimos en la terraza del local y nos pareció un sitio fantástico, tanto por las vistas como por la trankilidad que se respiraba allí.
Probamos las migas con lomo de orza y nos parecieron muy buenas y probamos también las croquetas de Jamón con trocitos de jamón en el interior y nos parecieron muy buenas .
Estás eran auténticas croquetas de jamón con jamón en el interior, no como la mayoría de croquetas que hay por ahí que de jamón solo tienen el nombre.
Y media de queso muy rico

Se come vegano aquí! Nos comemos el gazpacho y unos platos de verduras ricas en sabor pero llevaba mucha aceite. La vista de la terraza es impresionante..

Estuvimos el sábado pasado 4 personas. Comida increíble. Recomiendo el Barrio Alto es el gran desconocido y éste Mesón de lo mejor de la zona, tiene todo lo que puedes pedir para disfrutar de Trevelez
