The Refuge Restaurante "Tuna Speciality"

If this is not my absolute favourite restaurant, it's indeed in my top 5.

Beach front location (sunset dinner, anyone?), friendly service, and the food...
Fresh produce and perfect cooking equals greatness. Perfection on a plate.

I've been there many times, and will be back many more.

Fantastic service and the food is beautiful. Highly recommend the fish roe on fried bread. All the tuna dishes we had were full of flavour and we loved every mouthful. Beautiful setting down on the beach with stunning views of the long sandy beach and crashing waves.

luckily i let my bike and instincts lead me to this place, located right on the beach. first thing i noticed was that it was packed, the people obviously enjoying their time there. second thing i noticed was the little sign saying they dont take reservations. and opening hours are 1-5pm. all good signs. i was not disappointed, as a matter of fact the tuna a la plancha sent me soaring. great wines to go with the food. i had many great meals in andalucía, this was definitely one of the best.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Suggest coming at 1pm as soon as they open as they're popular and it's not possible to book.

Absolutely superb. Great food, a cosy garden and attentive and smiley staff. I had the tuna in tomato sauce, and the white chocolate flan. This place is a straight 10/10.

A restaurant made with love. The scenery, inside atmosphere, host welcome and great food makes it a unique experience.

Loved the food and setting. The salads were very good for starters with a nice simplicity. Mains looked very nice so went for cuttlefish fried. Very crisp texture with mellow garlic ali oli. The plants and smells of the summer beach and the fig trees made it amazing lunch spot.

Fantastic place to have dinner in the summer while watching the sun set over the beach. The atmosphere is amazing and the dishes are very regional and traditional but really flavorful and well executed. If you’re looking for somewhere authentic to eat where locals go to, this is it!

The best tuna + rice plate. Lombarada salad a yummy as well. Staff nice . Alejandro was our waitress , very quick and efficient. Thank you . Recommended.

So good we went twice. Does the best calamari and steak in town with sunset views. Service is quick , polite and very welcoming. 100% recommend this place.

We love this place and the food. We were here 1 year ago and I can't wait to come back.
We had no reservation but it was worth waiting.

Very good environment, quality & price. No book tables allowed. Need to be at 13h if you don't want to wait to much...
