It was an amazing journey, our only mistake was we only take one bottle of water with us! But the view from the mountains was stunning it look like camino del Rey but then for free.

wonderful location, about 3 hours of walking for the whole circuit. I recommend good footwear because it is very slippery.

Beautiful views, all around you. Mind the traffic coming your way because the roads are narrow. It's a joy to drive there. I drove from Moclín to Mercadona in Pinos Puente. A great joy, much better than the shortcut Puerto Lope to Pinos Puente. However, this shortcut also has amazing views. That's East Andalusia, everywhere fantastic views.

Well some of the post on general are a little confusing. We started in the middle of Moclin near the castle walked down hill first for the majority of the journey, over the rope/wooden bridge. This part was a bit slippery due to gravel on the track even in sunshine. Then just as you get to the next village you head back up to Moclin which is about 2km and very steep. I assume the people who say they do the uphill first .must start in the other village. The whole circular walk of around 12km , without any real stops has taken us 3 hrs 15 mins , we might be a little older than so.e but you could not do it all in 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours, must be shorter route.

You can bring your kids! We have a 3 (he was carried in a pack most of the way) and 9 year old. Getting to Moclin earlier will make it easier to find parking near the entrance of the pueblo. It's only 45 minutes from Granada. Beautiful views, but fairly easy 10km. There is quite a bit of loose rock here and there so watch when you descend on the trail. We started from Moclin but the climb from Olivares can have a few steep sections but totally doable.
