Lac d'Oô

I have had this place saved for ages, and on a visit was provided a surprise trip to it. It's a out an hour uphill, moderate hike, to the first lake, this one. It is recommended to go early in the morning in the summer.

From the parking to the lake takes one hour about average 7 degree gradient worth the effort in winter be careful as some parts are frozen so slippery,the bonus in winter December is the reflection in the lake it's a fantastic walk

It is a place where we felt in heaven. Need to hike 4 km to see the lac d’oô though we enjoyed every part of it.

A strenuous but doable hike with a view at the end that makes you forget the 1+ hour steep walk to get there.

Bring water but there is a refreshment stand at the end and a bar/restaurant when you return.

Some “no swimming signs” which are ignored by those that cannot resist.

75 min hike up to the lake. Dry path and no snow in April 2021.

Gorgeous! So worth it, it took us 50 minutes to the first lake, 50 minutes to the second (the second is better) 👌

After climbing uphill in 1,5 hour we enjoyed the view of Lac d’Oô. A beautiful sight. Take a break and a nice refreshment. And yes, downhill is much better 😉

the views are instantaneous and impressive, You’ll want to spend some time here enjoying the view  with a beautiful waterfall opposite of it. This is the Lac d'Oô, Hiking for 1.5 hour over the Pyrénées and its sooo beautiful❤

Une balade agréable , randonnée jusqu’au lac d’Oo est accessible à tous, facilement trouvable , mais attention ça monte ! ! Belle récompense en arrivant avec une superbe vue.

Une randonnée facile et magnifique ! un refuge au bord du lac vous permettra de faire une pause, dormir, déjeuner ... avant de soit redescendre ou continuer à monter pour admirer d'autres lacs et une vue magnifique.

Très belle randonnée. En grande partie ombragée. Ça monte un peu, mais en prenant son temps ça se fait. Et quelle récompense en arrivant au lac... superbe lac et sa cascade

Je vous conseil néanmoins de prendre des bonnes chaussures de rando et de l'eau !
De préférence à faire le matin pour ne pas souffrir de la chaleur à l'aller.

Si vous n'êtes pas habitué aux randonnées, cela pourra vous paraître assez difficile, car cela ne fait que monter sur 3km. Il y a cependant des petits paliers réguliers pour faire des pauses et monter à son rythme.

Les + aguerris pourront poursuivre sur le lac d'Espingon (notre objectif pour la prochaine fois) et pour ceux qui souhaite encore aller + loin, aller au Lac Saussat en faisant l'aller/retour sur 2 jours.
