Very nice lunch. Owners of the bar are very nice and welcoming. We had very nice individual pizzas. Made from by local bread makers and their own toppings. The red wine was locally made and very nice. I had a sugar free mojito and Viv had a sugar and alcohol free mojito. Both very nice.

Fantastic pizza and pasta. Great salads. Lovely people (Johnny and Maria running it. They also make their own drinks which are marvelous.

Love this place always feel welcome and a friendly place to go on your own or with friends food is amazing and cocktails are even nicer ,it's a hidden gem , very reasonable price ,I always start my evening here on a night out because it is a happy place 😀

Some of you may have seen the little Artisan bar next to Casa Maria down the side road towards the old bridge opposite The Carved Angel. I think it's called La Iris.

I called in just to be nosey and wanted to spread the word about what great good value artisan food they do there. Firstly, the couple are originally from Italy and had the idea to make all their own menu using artisan products including home brewed beer and some homemade spirits such as vermouth and cocktails.

Having experienced a focaccia bread pizza with buffalo cheese I was impressed enough to book for a full meal to celebrate a special occasion. The menu was different, tasty and good value washed down with one of the selection of cocktails. Really impressed.

The bar may lack the finesse of tablecloths, seductive lighting and fancy decorations but if you fancy something a bit different at a fair price, I recommend that you pop in and support them.
