Definitely worth visiting. Beautiful one-hour walk between the two lakes and a small museum free of charge. The kids enjoyed cows very much, but better not to take a baby stroller with you or leave it somewhere near the bus station. We saw eagles sitting on the rocks on our way back. I recommend buying bus tickets online in advance - there are long lines to get on the bus from Cangas de Onís and back. There’re usually 2-3 buses going in the same direction.

Perfect place to visit, especially before or after main season (summer). Lovely to bike up here, too. Well with electric bike easier, as it’s one of steepest road around here. You can have a bite on the top and lovely walks. Sometimes during the winter the lakes freeze and the views and feel are spectacular. I have never heard such a silence as when walking around lakes up there, of course out of the touristy season:)

Very nice walk. Between April and September you cannot go there by car, you need to take the bus for 9€ or taxi. It is still worth going.

Second time here... Although the clouds were covering all the spectacular mountain peaks, it's still very much a worth-while trip. (Even with parking at the bottom of the valley and having to take a bus up, which takes a full hour..) I guess we could have tried to be there before 8:30 in the morning... Hehehe.

It was a gorgeous experience and it was almost like stepping into an alternate universe. I definitely recommend taking the longer hike if you have time and going through the forest because with the moss covered rocks and the wildflowers and all of the green, it doesn't feel real.

Take Alsa bus from Cangas, bring food and drink. Expect fog but its still a lovely walk/climb, but not solitary at all. Be patient for the return bus.

This is one of the best activities to do in Asturias if you are looking for:
- BEST landscapes
- Trekking/walking/alpinism
- Being in contact with nature

Completely doable for people of all ages and “sport level”.

Marvellous place and hiking paths.

Better to arrive before 8am to be able to go up with your own car (11kms aprox).

Beautiful place for mellow walks if you're a lazy "I'll just drive up" person but even better if you cycle and can enjoy the whole scenery.

Natural beauty at it's best. Try to go before tourist season to avoid the buses full of tourists. Take a picnic.

Beautiful place. Only way to get there though, is via bus from Covadonga parking lots. There is a bus every 5-15 minutes. Round trip tickets are €9 as of April 2023. Once you arrive at the top, you’re free to hike around. Last bus is at 7pm in Spring.
