Bar La Placeta

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant in a tranquil little square in Sot de Chera. It's run by a lovely man from New Zealand with a strong connection to the local area.
Everything we ate was absolutely amazing - i'm a vegetarian and there was a very good choice of options (something you can't often say in Spain away from the big cities). I really can't fault it - this place may be a bit of a drive from where we live but we will absolutely go back when we have visitors as it was one of the nicest means we have had in Spain since we moved 8 months ago!

Fantastic Pizza Panceta, with pumpkin sauce, apple, and honey, and a very thin, crispy bottom. Really amazing! The atmosphere outside Restaurant La Placeta at the Plaza de Juan de Juanes looking out at the village church is something you want to experience. The music accompanying the whole scene is also very welcome. We love it! Sasja and Pepijn from Rotterdam, Holland.

Amazing find! Innovative tapas, wonderful pasta dishes and amazing original desserts, all homemade.
We especially liked the seafood pasta, cardamon and chocolate ice cream and carob and pear tart. We will definitely come back with friends.

Really cracking spot. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the food & ambiance so much we went back for lunch the next day. Highlights were the pork belly & truffle pizza, the Thai pea & prawn soup, the crumble pudding and the excellent service!
Can’t wait to go back again!

Something a bit different. Marcus is an exceptional host and chef using quality ingredients to create unique dishes inspired by various world cuisines. I loved the pumpkin, pork belly and truffle pizza, the Thai soup and the crumble with cardamom ice-cream but everything on the menu sounded interesting.

Amazing place set in a beautiful little plaza. Me and my family had come to sot de Chera for the day to swim in the river and popped in to have a drink before heading home. Marcus and his team were so welcoming that we decided to find somewhere to stay the night so we could come back for dinner. The food, wine, desserts, service and atmosphere were all excellent, so much so we came back the following day. We can’t wait for our next visit

The little square it's in is very cozy, the server (and the chef) were really nice, even going out of their way to accommodate us, and the food was just one delicious dish after the other.

If you go there, don't forget to leave some space for dessert; they're definitely worth it. The main reason I want to go back is actually to have their pineapple crumble: pure warm, gooey goodness.

What a gem. Excellent service and surprisingly good pasta and pizza. Super village as well. Well worth a visit if your stomach can take the narrow mountain roads. We’ll be back. Pat & Hazel

Amazing restaurant with fabulous food and great staff. Had a magic evening with live music in the charming small square. Truffle funghi pizza to die for and great desserts. Very decent prices and lovely wines! Also Vegan friendly. Thank you 😊💓

Finding it hard to describe how great this place was... what a gem! If you're ever in the region, this is the place to be. Left truly astounded by the service, atmosphere, drinks, and excellent food! Can't wait to come back and bring more people to enjoy this magical place together (and try out all of the other delicious dishes on the menu).

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia en La Placeta. Es un lugar totalmente recomendable, tanto por su propio emplazamiento, una plaza tranquila con encanto y con amplitud entre las mesas, como por la comida y servicio.
Cenamos unos entrantes, una pizza y postre y a cada cosa más rica que la anterior.
El precio, teniendo en cuenta que la cocina es elaborada, no es para nada desproporcionado.
