RAFEL Restaurant

Had lunch with old friends at Rafel. Fabulous food - we all had the day menu which at €12 was amazing value. I had baked rice to start - heavenly- then lovely fresh haddock and finished with Creme Catalana. Cannot remember when I enjoyed a meal so much! To top it all off, the owner brought over a selection of after dinner drinks which he left for us to help ourselves.
Highly recommend.

Very fancy tasty food, a bit pricey but it is worth it, many different types of regional dishes, rices, fish, meet, veggies you can't order wrong everything is awesome, the service is great, very friendly atmosphere good attention to detail, we came today for the first time and we will come back soon

Rafel in Pego, Spain is the definition of hidden gem. We looked for somewhere to eat between Alicante and Valencia and I saw the reviews so we gave it a try. Thank God for paying attention to Google reviews. The only thing possibly better than the food was the service. The staff is amazing. What a great dining experience.

As a complete tourist, this was the highlight of dining experiences during our visit to Spain. Immediately when seated, it was an experience straight out of any episode of "Chef's Table". I cannot stress that statement enough. Reasonable locale with a loud, noisy and joyful atmosphere, staff running around keeping the diners satisfied. Traditional and local food that I would rate above 10 in flavours and quality. Overall, this was not simply a visit to a restaurant, this qualifies as an amazing "Dining Experience", on many levels.

Nice enough. Calamari starter was a delicious, huge plate. Glad we shared it. The lamb chops were OK, a bit greasy for my liking, no vegetables come with it. The desserts were amazing, the coffee mousse actually tasted like coffee. Take lots of money

Wow what a great restaurant in the town of Pego!!! Me and my family went here for lunch while visiting Pego for the day. We got to meet the owner and his son and they were so incredibly nice to us!! We got many different tapas and the arroz con crosta that was typical of Pego. This restaurant is not to be missed if visiting!!!

What a place. Book to avoid disappointment. Thursday is market day and the food is overwhelming 😀

Lovely restaurant with a great selection of menus as well as la carta. Good value for money with attentive and friendly staff. Booking recommended, especially Sundays, it was packed!

By a coincidence we entered this restaurant just to have a drink. But while sitting here we saw the food and got hungry. OMG the food is great!!!! If you are in the neighbourhood do yourselves a favour and eat something here!

Amazing rice! Amazing everything! We have lived here for 25 years and this is one of our favorite places now!

What a fantastic Restaurante! Every aspect deserves top marks.

Went to Pego lunchtime on Sunday, whole town appeared closed. Found Rafels by accident and had fabulous lunch. Very reasonably priced. Definitely return.

Great food to take away at very good prices during a difficult time. Recommend.

The waitress Daniella was really nice and helpful.
