A truly magical place!
Indeed an island of creativity amongst the olive orchards.

This is a place, for writers, artists, dreamers and all such folk looking for a place to be inspired.

The hosts Sebastian and Alex are themselves superbly talented and wonderful people and they have created a haven, mayhaps even heaven? For that was my experience…

The peace and tranquility I’m this beautiful setting gave me a chance to immersive fully into writing.

Indeed the writing retreat as organised by Sebastian with the help of Alex and Alla (a fellow writer and creative resident) was all one could ask for.

The accommodation was fab with various communal areas for creative pursuits, there’s even an art room and a sewing room!

This is not a hotel but a place with a far more creative and relaxed feel, although very clean and well looked after.

And goodness the food was heavenly indeed! I have most definitely moved further along towards vegetarianism.

It all felt like some sort of wonderful dream. The lovely group of people I met and connected with, the setting, food and the friendly dogs. And of course my favourite hammock which became my creative niche.
Honestly a dream I didn’t want to wake up from. Leaving is such sweet sorrow as they say! I could stay there forever!

(Oh and the town of Ubeda is just up the road, a beautiful historic UNESCO heritage site.)

Residence Isla De Crear, Andalusia, Spain

I was very happy to visit Isla De Crear, among creative people, I had the opportunity to create here and meet other artists and writers.
I arrived at Isla De Crear in September. Alex and Sebastian - the owners of the residence - are very hospitable, pleasant and helpful guys. The residence is located in a very picturesque place and the abundance around the olive groves immediately sets you up for creativity. The residence building has very non-standard interiors, and this immediately gives rise to creativity inside and the number of different creative ideas just rolls over)) In addition to living rooms, the residence has many specialized rooms and creative workshops with all the necessary materials. Everyone can discover something new here. For those who want to try their hand at sewing, there is a sewing workshop with a sewing machine. The residence also has a music room and a photography workshop. Everything you need for inspiration and creativity in one place!
Isla De Crear is an amazing creative and inspiring place for creative people of all walks of life.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the stylish and unusual interiors of the residence. Everything is decorated with great taste, with a lot of interesting exclusive details. For me, as an interior designer, being in such a beautiful and aesthetic place was a great pleasure, where I also gained an interesting new design experience.
Alex and Sebastian are very attentive and caring hosts. Any problem was solved very quickly. And thanks to their help, all residents were periodically able to travel outside the residence. For me, this trip turned out to be a happy chance that gave me the opportunity to create in such a difficult period. I will always remember these amazing two months spent in Andalusia, among the sea of ​​olive trees, in the circle of creative talented people.
I sincerely thank the residence of Isla De Crear in the person of Alex and Sebastian for a wonderful and rich creative time.

Residence Isla De Crear, Andalusia
Time of stay: September-November 2022

I attended a writer’s retreat in October. It was a well-organized, thoughtful and delicious adventure! The accommodations are creative and comfortable. Our hosts, skilled and accommodating. Beautiful vistas and sunsets, plenty of time built in to our challenges to wander and contemplate. The weather cooperated until the last two days, allowing us to work outdoors. Plenty of spaces for private time or socializing. And, finally, the dogs… so cheerful and welcoming.

What an absolutely DREAM this location offers. As a recent attendee at a writer's retreat in October, I couldn't have asked for a more inspirational location.

My Accommodations: priceless views of the surrounding olive groves, comfortable bed and bedding, and the breeze when I opened the window was perfection.

The Decor: What wonderful touches of Andalusia adorned each space I encountered. The flavor reflected the beauty of the surroundings.

The Grounds: Heaven! A wonderful variety of vistas and seating options allowed me to write fully engaged with my surroundings. I could engage with other participants or wander to think and create on my own... and the olive groves... did I mention the olive groves?

The Weather: How many colors of blue skies are possible? An infinite number is the answer after I walk away from the week.

The Hosts: Absolute perfection! Sebastian and Alex are masters of creating moments that dazzle and inspire. I am in awe of the planning they went through to create a memorable experience for all of us. I cannot thank them enough.

The Friends: Dogs... beautiful, loving dogs. Who could want more?

This was an amazing place to visit nestled among olive fields. Alex and Sebastian who run the artist residencies and own Isle De Crear are very creative and we're incredibly generous. It was a bit isolated but this enables you to focus more on your creativity. Trips into town and nearby cities are well worthwhile

Incredibly welcoming place for creators. Surrounded by beautiful nature and close to ancient town. I had an unforgettable time with great people there.

The best things in my writer's story happened here. Love the place.
