My wife and I had a last min idea of visiting Toledo, Spain. Manuela came to our poorly planned visit rescue. She was just what the doctor ordered. She was friendly, knowledge, energetic and had a passion to present the information about Toledo. I am excited to visit Spain again, and bring my boys to Toledo and being that the tour guide wasn’t broken 😹😂😹😹.. I certainly don’t see a reason to change her! My wife and I spent 18 days traveling much of southern Spain. We started in Barcelona. We visited 8 towns and two islands. Along the way we enjoyed wonderful guides in 4 different cities. We finished our excellent trip with two and a half days in Madrid for our flight home.
On our last full day, we took a 30 minute train down to Toledo and hired Manuela to be our Toledo tour Guide.
Manuela was waiting for us at the train station with a big smile. Off we went in what might be the most beautiful city in all of Spain.
Manuela was exceptional, thorough and highly knowledgeable. We had a LOT of questions during her 3 hour tour (which seemed to fly by) and she walked us through the history, the players, the decisions by each party, who won, who lost, what they did when they rules and all the reasons why. Toledo is a gorgeous hilltop city protected by a river. It’s history goes back over 2,000 years and there is no better person to make it all come to life then Manuela. She is the highest reward possible.

Manuela was absolutely amazing. Her English is excellent; she was able to provide an enormous amount of information and answer every question; and she knew when to move on to the next Toledo treasure. Very warm and personable, and will customize your tour.

The was the first time to Madrid and Toledo for me and my family and both places were gorgeous. Pictures truly cannot do it justice.

Manuela was an amazing guide. She displayed an exhaustive knowledge of Madrid and of Spanish history during our tour of the Royal Palace, and did so in a friendly and entertaining way. At the Prado the next day, she was even more remarkable. I had never really appreciated 14-15th century art, but she made it come alive with stories of the people, the context, and the styles and methods the artist used to evoke the desired reaction. I've taken many art tours, and this was probably the best I've had. She made sure to show me all the paintings on my list, even though this took her well over the allotted time.
I would strongly recommend Manuela to anyone who wants to learn more about Spanish history, culture, or art, or to someone who just wants a friendly and entertaining guide.

I am getting Spanish citizenship but have never been to Toledo which is where my mother’s family is from prior to the Spanish Inquisition. I booked a private tour with Manuela to see the city. Manuela, who grew up in Toledo, She walked me through the city giving me a thoroughly knowledgeable and fun tour of Toledo. I can’t recommend her enough. If you book a tour with her you will be given a tour from someone who can only give this type of tour from their deep knowledge of this wonderful city. You will not be disappointed!!

We spent 2 extraordinary days with Manuela in Madrid and Toledo. Not only did she give us a history of Spain starting from the Bronze Age through the Romans, Visigoths, Moors, Catholic Kings, Spanish Empire, the Spanish Inquisition, through to the present day, she applied it to architecture, art history, and the global stage throughout those periods. All leading to present day. She gave us a real appreciation of both cities and their place in history. She communicates easily in both English and Spanish.
