This is our thirteenth day on the Camino and we have had a number of experiences. Our food here was hot and tasty. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I’d highly recommend the restaurant for its kind and friendly atmosphere as well as good hot food.

The servers this night turned out to be some really awesome singers who had the entire place in awe :) I'm not sure this happens all the time, but spirits were high. The prices were reasonable, and I recommend the lentil soup and the pork option for dinner. The place was cluttered with things that made it look like it was in transition, but that didn't matter because the true jewel was live music, which they will tell you if they have going on that night.

The owner was so friendly and kind. The food was fantastic! I had the ensalada mixta and the Senegalese plate. The Senegalese plate was very flavorful and he made it extra spicy just for me. I would definitely recommend this place to any pilgrims staying in Hornillos!

Origen is in a small town. I had a glass of Vino Tinto earlier in the day. I was not paying attention and realized, they were closed. They never pushed me out or said a thing. Later, my hotel’s food package was here. The food was awesome. (If you are American, it is Spanish, so know the style of food, but it was amazing). The family that runs the place is so sweet and makes you feel at home. They had live music that night that was everything from opera to classic old school. If I did the Camino again, I would definitely stop here again. The pork chops were in a marinade that reminded me of adobo, a seasoning I love to use.

I only wish I could give 500 stars . We walked in at 10 am as Pilgrims, already 11 kms in todays walk , wet and windy . Immediately I loved the bar/ restaurant, a scented candle at the door , a beautiful warm welcome from the owners . I asked if we could have some hot food and they offered us a lovely variety. We chose the Smokey paprika lentils and from the first mouthful it was delicious. Guinness beer on tap , good coffee . They have live music in the evenings, but a perfect Spanish music was playing. Highly recommend .

Really enjoyed our meals, lunch and dinner. The owner was so friendly. The dinner offered ioctl entertainment. Fantastic place for pilgrims to enjoy good food and friendly atmosphere.

The best place to eat so far on the Camino. The food tastes fine, but the atmosphere is a very plesant change of pace- the owner is great to chat with, and they have karaoke at night.

We spent an unexpectedly lovely evening here. The food was delicious, homemade lentil soup hit the spot on a chilly evening and then we were serenaded with Jazz, opera and pop music. Hornillos is such a tiny place you wouldn't expect live music but it was such a pleasure and bar origen opens at 6 so pilgrims can get an early dinner.

The salad was really good, chicken with fries was okay but staff was super friendly and welcoming. They have live music for dinner.

13 stages walked so far and this was the best dinner we've had, then followed by the most amazing vibrant night of music with the owner and his daughter (singer/guitarist duo)

Very nice place for dinner in Hornillos. Down to earth hospitality, the chef did his best to accommodate our diet request and make some changes to the set menu for us, so appreciated! They must have a lovely cat, as we can hear she/he was meowing…

This place is amazing! If you on the Camino it’s a must ! The home cooked food was amazing and there was live music worthy of Carnegie Hall. Jose Berro and his friend brought the house down. Jazz, blues and opera. What a combination, but it worked.

Great meal. They only have a few items to choose from but they are all delicious! They have a pilgrims menu, great prices. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The owner was super friendly.

Nicest restaurant and place in town ! Super nice atmosphere from all over the world thanks to the beautiful personnality of Omar the owner a former pilgrim who comes from Senegal. Very good food and wine. He organizes sometimes concerts or karaoke at night. Go get dinner there pilgrims you won't regret it. We wish him luck and support in his project.

Dinner was reasonably price and delicious! Once other pilgrims joined karaoke was the hit of the night. Would definitely come again. One of the highlights of the Camino.

This place is the nicest! Good food, excellent service and ambience. I cannot recommend it enough.

Super friendly owners and a great place to eat and hang out after a long day on the Camino. Live music most nights and home cooked meals. So glad this exists in an otherwise dead town. I would go back just to talk with the owner!

Make sure you walk to the end of the street before choosing a place to eat!

Nice dinner, great atmosphere, great price. Had an amazing Sunday evening with live music. The hostess is so fun and welcoming.
