Chick with apple was super. The beef and chips also very good.

This is an excellent place to have grilled meat or lamb and if you like chicken, you can order (ahead of time) a chicken with apples that is delicious. This is a great place to come and spend a good meal at lunch time just make sure that you make reservations ahead of time during the summer months because it gets super busy with all the tourists that go to hike around Rio Verde which is an amazing place to visit in this area.
The tomato salad is also really good and the gazpacho which is a cold soup made with tomato is the best thing to enjoy during a hot summer evening at this place

Wonderful mountain location! Staff were welcoming and very attentive. The food was excellent and plentiful. Some dishes need to be ordered a few hours before your arrival, e.g. half roast chicken with apples. A speciality is blood sausage (black pudding) which I highly recommend. Well worth a visit.

We found the price was great and the amount on the plates just perfect, not too little nor too much. A bowl of fried potatoes was just 2€!!! And the price of a chuletta was under 10€. Fantastic terraces and clean bathrooms. We loved it!!!

Great place less than 30 minutes from Almuñecar at the Costa Tropical. Call a day before if you want the exellent lamb legs served on Sunday only.

First time we’ve been after driving past for many months. Absolutely brilliant food, cooked in front of you and delicious. Great prices, lovely setting and friendly service. We’ve been in Spain for 2 years and this is up there with the most authentic. Love it.

The staff here are fantastic! So very friendly. We were staying close by in Lentegi and stopped here for a drink on the terrace. We returned the following day, Christmas eve, for lunch. My husband says his steak was the best he's had in a very long time, my calamari was great, huge portions. The atmosphere was lovely, it seemed like there were a lot of local people there, and they were being welcomed so warmly, and so were we! If you're near, it's really worth visiting :)

We cycle up to Otívar and come to this restaurant for breakfast every time we’re in Almuñecar and it never disappoints. It does brilliant toast with tomato and serano ham for very cheap with lovely views of the valley. Good ‘cafe con leche’, nice interior and toilets and warm waiters.

This was the best Garlic Chicken and i am rating this simple dish my 1st chicken dish and placing Leon's Fried Chicken in South Carolina 2nd. It was first but no more.

Only stopped for coffees and a snack, but it was lovely and will definitely go back. My wife is still talking about her capuchin (she had two as she enjoyed the first on so much). Menu looked good, and prices very reasonable. Beautiful setting and amazing drive down to Otivo from the Granada direction.

Excellent food, friendly, prompt service in a great location - at the beginning of an amazing mountain road which climbs to 1000m. Not to be missed.

Have visited el Capricho for many years, fantastic food in a relaxed, family setting. Prices very reasonable. Pick of the menu is probably pollo con manzana which you need to preorder. Pollo al ajillo and the Cordero are also superb. The sides of patatas are delicious also.

Great place to eat, renowned in Otiva andalusia. Great for Apple & chicken, garlic chicken steaks, lamb etc, all done in clay oven … grilled on Bbq

This is our place to go for a fantastic steak. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the food is very good whatever you have. One not to miss if you are in this village.

Lovely simple food, all meat cooked in the clay oven, beautiful taste and great home made chips. If you have a sweet tooth the caramel crepes are amazing!

In my opinion the best Morcilla around. Great BBQ and the Chicken (might need to be ordered in advance).

The Chicken is roasted with local Apples and is truly amazing.
