Age Concern Estepona y Manilva

My brother from the UK has lived in Estepona for over 30 yrs. He lost his wife 4yrs ago so has no family to help locally. He has displayed signs of dementia recently and on Christmas Day had a mild stroke and went into Costa del Sol hospital where dementia was also confirmed. We found Age Concern Estepona and along with two wonderful friends who helped my brother and family were helped immeasurable by Marie-Andree.
She immediately eased our stress by providing advice on procedures about obtaining care and financial help and was always available to talk on any other relevant queries .Her patience and compassion was reassuring at a difficult time. The family cannot thank you enough. We would also like to thank everyone involved with Age Concern Estepona for providing a crucial service for ex pats in need.

I would like to thank the staff and especially the president Marie Andree Gleeson for all the help they gave me in the last year of my partners life without the help from Mrs Gleeson i would have found it impossible to treat him at home- Kenneth Hall

Age Concern Estepona & Manilva, a very informative, helpful, resourceful, caring and understanding charity. Marie-Andree has truly been a saint assisting me finding help and equipment for my elderly parents, giving advice and support in every way possible. She really does go that extra mile. I cannot praise them enough and really don't know how we would have coped without them.

EDIT: I have discovered that I posted this review below from 2 years ago under a Google account I do not use anymore .I had such a wonderful experience back then so I really would like this review to be under my current verified Google account that I actually use :

I in the UK was told my my carer in Estepona that we needed a toilet commode for my very poorly mum as soon possible.I got hold of the wonderful Maggie who was just about to close the shop,but nevertheless the less bent over backwards to make my mission possible.Half an hour later my carer had the commode in her car and it is now home .A big heart felt thank you to Age Concern and in particular Maggie."

I love age concern
I always fi d great books and other bits and pieces. The staff are super nice. Most of .y wardrobe comes from the estepona shop

Marie-Andree could not have been more helpful when I took an elderly friend to see her about his wife, who needs care. Great advice and practical help. Very many thanks.

Happy 2022. The two women who were working on Tuesday 4th January 2022 between 5pm and 7pm were wonderful. So helpful and welcoming. The slightly older (apologies for being ageist) lady has an amazing aura and her colleague's skill at guiding and explaining to customers is so lovely to observe.Thank you.

Una de mis tiendas favoritas de la zona, suelo ir casi diariamente porque verdaderamente hacen una labor extraordinaria.
Puedes encontrar todo tipo de artículos, siempre tienen novedades, y muy buenos precios. Lo mejor de todo es que encima estás dando una segunda vida a todos esos artículos vintage, y estás haciendo una buena labor ayudando. Y el personal que trabaja es muy encantador, simpático, y siempre con una gran sonrisa

Es una tiendita muy cuca en todo el centro de Estepona. Se pueden encontrar muchísimos objetos, desde ropa, utensilios para la cocina, libros etc. Si compras aquí haces una buena labor ya que ayudas a ancianos sin recursos. Yo la visito a menudo y siempre me llevo algo.

Ropa preciosa de segunda mano. Tienen libros y cuadros etc también. personal muy amable♥
