I have no clue if this is a tourist spot, good or bad but the reviews are good. I got myself the traditional salmon soup with cream and it was delicious! Good portion of salmon and some rye bread with butter. For €15,90 you definitely get a good portion of food and it's super tasty! I could eat this every week (or day :) I could sit down on the road side, in the sun. The best way to enjoy this food.

Best salmon we had in Helsinki! It was just delicious, generous quantities with a lot of salmon in it and super quick service.

I finished the soup and I was not hungry as it has happened in other places.

Another good sign for me? There were only locals in the place :)

They also have some IPAs on tap.

We arrived in Helsinki late on a Sunday night and we were starving. The concierge at Hotel St. George, where we were staying, recommended this place because the kitchen stays open later than other places AND, she said the food was good. We got take out (take away in Finland) and the food was amazing. Out of the 9 nights we were in Helsinki, we ate here 5. We ordered various things and EVERYTHING was super delicious and fresh. It’s an unassuming bar run by James and his staff, and the music is 80’s and great! We listened to the Smiths and Joy Division and thoroughly enjoyed EVERY bite. Also, the Finnish gin in my gin and tonic is very good and I don’t even like gin. Would highly recommend the food here.

Amazing food and wine! We came here on our first day in Helsinki after being quite frankly shocked with the prices in other places, and here, they served big and delicious meals for reasonable prices. We’ve been coming for the rest of our trip and tasted half of the menu, and pretty much all of it is great. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the tomato soup. Other than that, very nice service, nice atmosphere, it’s always full of people which is a good sign! The food comes 5-10 minutes after ordered. Loved it and will be recommending it to everyone I know.

Vibey restaurant right by the hostel I stayed at. I ordered the Diablo pasta dish but mild spice level, and it was amazing. Wasn't expecting the small chorizo bits in the pasta to be so good. Service was quick and easy.

Great food and great prices! List is kept simple and that works! Food portions are generous and really tasty. Pasta and wok dishes are good and you can get them as gluten free as well. Own beer on tap as well and good selection of wines as well. Service is fast and friendly, although you do make your order from the bar.

Classic restaurant with iconic dishes like pollo limonello and carbonara. Sandels on tap, changing art on the walls. Always there. Recommending to dine in instead of ordering out.

Authentic service, great kitchen dynamic that you get small insights from while sitting on the dining tables. I could lick the plates in this restaurant!

We had some doubts considering the variety of reviews.
As for me, it is a great place to have a drink and a bar-styled food (not fine dining - you don't expect that for the stated price and cafe positioning).
Staff is friendly, place is crowded but comfortable. Not sure why there are bad reviews. It's a bar, guys, not a Michelin restaurant :))
Great burger, French salad and gardener pasta were good enough as well.

Very nice place, the food could be delivered earlier, other than that everything was nice. Good meat, taste was very good. All in all perfect.

Super cute. Food is very affordable, tasty, the portions are big and selection is good. Try their famous Pollo Limonello pasta, their woks, Won Ton or salmon soup - all is excellent. The decor has not changed since the day it opened, but it fits the feel of the place. Be sure to come early, this place is always full. Staff speaks mostly english.

The best pasta I had in a long time!

Highly recommend this place. The food was amazing especially ceasar salad with salmon. Pasta is also very tasty. The waiting time is extraordinarily short. The vibe and interior is really nice.

Good food good service nice atmosphere, we went especially for the salmon soup. We recommend.

Great little place to eat. The food is good, portions are big, and two can eat for 20 euros. We stopped on one Wednesday for lunch and it was not crowded. Sat right down. You do order from the bar not from the table. They also have bigger water pitches available for the table. Clean bathrooms are available for customers.

One of the best rice noodle wok I've tasted .. especially with the salmon. . big up !

Quite a popular hangout bar where you can get a proper meal like pasta, wok, fries, burger, and salad.

Great place for less expensive dinner. Very busy and filled with locals (always a good sign!). Secure a table and then place tour order at the bar. Portions are good size and tasty!
