L'Autrefois

Everything was excellent! Form the reservation phone call to the service to the quality of the traditional dishes. We really had the feeling of tasting real authentic Alsatian food and not your everyday flammkuchen - we ordered the Fleischneka and the Königinspastete. Delicious! 😋

Wonderful place with wonderful people. From the beginning you feel warm family atmosphere. The food is fresh and tasty. This place is for everyone who need authentic experience.

We have been staying in Turckheim for a week, at the end of a five-week tour of France, (Rugby World Cup). During that time we have eaten in a number of restaurants around the country, most of which were at least good. It seems that we saved the best until last.

For our last restaurant meal of the trip, we decided upon lunch in L'Autrefois in Turckheim and we are so pleased that we did! The food was excellent, the wines were excellent and the service was superb! The restaurant is owned and run by a family team, who put on a small but perfectly-formed menu to a strictly limited number of clients each day. They are justifiably proud of their restaurant and work extremely hard to maintain a very high standard all-round and provide a first-class dining experience for their customers. Very highly recommended.

What a delightful experience that was!
Great reception on the phone, completely delightful manner of the lovely woman/ co- owner who was taking orders.
Wines were fabulous and locally sourced. The mushroom and sweet potato veloute was divine. Lovely main dishes of choucroute garni, and I had the chicken, mushroom, pasta and cheese dish, with salad. Both lovely. Finished our meal with the tarte du moment which we shared- yummy quetsche tart with melon sorbet- a revelation, and Chantilly.
Tisane and coffee to finish. A lovely penultimate night to our week in this part of the Alsace. So polite and patient with our dog who knocked his water bowl over. 🙈. Thank you x

Absolutely the best place on our all Alsace tour. From the beginning you feel warm, home atmosphere. Place is owned and managed by friendly couple. We had earlier recommendation from professional chef but what we met and eat was better than we can expected. If you are in the neighborhood you have to visit this restaurant.

This restaurant is a little gem! Great food, very very kind and nice staff, so polite and always smiling. I recommend reservation in advance. They offer traditional and authentic food and wine.

Without any doubt the best restaurant of Turckheim and Colmar I have been to. Professional staff, nice environment and quality products are used. This was a surprisingly nice discovery!

We sat down to very well set table and I ordered the Ribeye. The steak came out incredible and the service was even better. Can not recommend this place enough!

Petit restaurant intimiste, cuisine excellente - et le mot est faible - avec des plats typiques de la région, carte des vins locale ; superbe sélection pour découvrir les cépages alsaciens ! Une découverte qui ne vous laisse pas sur votre faim ! Encore un grand merci pour l’accueil chaleureux et la gentillesse de l’Autrefois.

Quelle magnifique soirée passée dans ce restaurant. Déjà un très bon contact par téléphone lors de la réservation. L accueil était parfait. Les serveuses et même le cuisinier au petit soin pour tout le monde (y compris pour les enfants). La cuisine était divine. Nous étions 11 personnes et tous les plats sont arrivés bien chauds et étaient tous excellents. Le cadre est magnifique on s ‘y sent tout de suite bien. Nous reviendront c’est certain !!!

Excellent petit restaurant la carte n'est pas énorme c'est ce qui est bien, ça facilite le choix. les repas que nous avons pris ce soir étaient excellent très bien présenté. Le service super. Un petit resto que je recommande et où je retournerai
