Probably the best restaurant in Albi, and consistently one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We have been eating here for about 15 years. The food is always superb, and the service is attentive, friendly and respectful. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the cuisine is interesting and varied, with plenty of local produce. This restaurant is also a cave and really understands the complexity of pairing wine with food. They also understand the nuances of tradition, making experiences of aperitifs (such absinthe) fun, and important touches such as the amuse bouche are an integral part of the overall dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, vibrant, and perfect whether you are visiting Albi or looking for a great location for a business lunch. A first rate restaurant. We highly recommended.

The best restaurant I've been to in France. The staff were great and tried to help as much as possible with translations where they could. The food was well presented and tasted amazing, there was many quality wines to choose from including some local wines that were excellent. The service was quick but professional.
We sat in the rear of the restaurant which is really cosy. The menu we chose had an option to include a glass of wine with each course, selected to compliment the meal(and they did). The wines were also available to purchase to take home, very reasonable prices.
I would definitely recommend this place, it is not cheap but you get more than you pay for.

A little gem. We had a great meal here. Enough to choose from the set menus without being overwhelmed by choice. Everything was very well presented ,served and was delicious. The wine was excellent too. It’s on the opposite side of the river from the main tourist area, in a small side street. Well worth walking across the bridge for. A little gem.

The food and wines were amazing. The staff were very welcoming and made sure we were looked after properly. It is quite a quiet restaurant but our raucous table was still welcomed.

Very friendly staff, the food is amazing especially for the price and the wines are sublime. Staff knows a lot about the wines, and they all speak English quite well. Very welcoming, we had a great night. Would certainly recommend dining here!

We were wandering Albi and decided we wanted to eat. A very helpful man suggested La Table du Sommelier. He even offered to call the restaurant for us. Since we were nearby, we declined and just walked upd the street to it. The recommendation was spot-on. We had a wonderful lunch there.

Although we arrived near the end of lunch, the staff was extremely gracious and helped us have a memorable meal. We each had a fixed price meal with wine. Jeremy, who is a member of the Pestre family that founded the restaurant, tolerated our abysmal attempt to speak French. He guided us in ordering our aperitifs, our meals and a subsequent glass of wine to finish the meals. All of his recommendations were perfect.

For openers, I had a curried pumpkin dish and my wife had a caramelized onion and cheese tart on puff pastry. Both delicious. Our main courses were skate (ray) with a citrus sauce on spinach. My wife had chicken, perfectly cooked, with succulent and crisp skin. It was accompanied by rich, delicious potatoes. For dessert, I had a soft cheese with a currant marmalade/sauce. My wife had a tart with layers of chocolate crème and pastry, topped with currant syrup.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. And to frost the cake, the prices were lower than some lesser restaurants we went to while in France.

Excellent food and service, we particularly liked the"potage" d'agneau, a traditional dish with slow cooked mutton and vegetables. The 'autour' menus offer a good pairing of dishes and wine. The restaurant also sells a huge selection of wines to take away. Well worth a visit.

Billed as friendly bistro and we received a friendly Michelin level of meal. Superb wines and most of all unparalleled service. Also lovely to get away from the tourist throng in the main square
