Make a reservation via phone or in person before coming here! Very good immersive experience into the house and de Gaulle’s life story. The visit costs 6 euro and it’s well worth with the audio guide!

Very interesting museum. Almost a time capsule as everything in the house is as it was in the late Victorian, early Edward Ian era. Well worth a visit, but recommend booking as space is limited.

Wonderfully preserved, this was well worth a visit. Audio guide was very informative or alternative paper guide. May have been lucky but would recommend perhaps booking tickets in advance. When arriving we managed to get in without issue and not many people about but nearing end of tour there were a few groups. Excellent tour however!

A very beautiful museum taking you back to the 18th century. The furniture and decoration are left intact taking you back to that era. It is nice to see the place of “bonne maman” where Charles de Gaulle spent lots of days during his childhood. You also have the chance to see the crib where he was nursed as well as his baptism outfit.

Was a great presentation. Only thing to keep in mind - you might be disappointed if you go in expecting resistance history. The presentation is mainly about the lifestyle of the bourgeoisie inhabitants in and around the house.

Traces back the roots to how being "classy" became a thing.

According the personnel, during the covid-19 the renowned the house to make it accessible for the tourists. Great visit with a lot of description of General's life and habits. I just posted couple of pics but the rest you need to check it out by yourself. You can have an audio or paper description in French & English regarding the history of each room. On top floor "la mis en place" explaining a little bit the habits of the French bourgeois.

A historical place that is definitely worth visiting if you are passing by Lille. Several languages are available in the audioguide which makes it very convenient and interesting.

The audio tour of the home was very well done and the home itself impressive. 6 euro well spent! We had to wait a bit as we did not have reservation, I would recommend having one.

This is the birth place of Charles de Gaulle. Still a lovely place if you are not a fan of him, the place is quite delicate and price is not so high. Could visit if you are in Lille.

It's an interesting place to visit, the audio guide is really great and available in multiple languages. It is recommended to make reservations because there are only a certain amount of visitors allowed at the same time. We didn't know that and just got lucky two places left 😅 if you are in the area and interested in history this place is a must visit.

A must visit place for History enthusiats. It shows an important part of the French modern history. We took audio guides in French and most of the descriptions were French. I am not sure if they had English guides available! To check.
