B&B HOTEL Saint-Malo Sud

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in France over the last 20-plus years, and this was absolutely the best on just about every count. B&B Hotels are a newish company, who I have never met before but we will certainly use them again where possible. We stayed at St-Malo Sud on a Sunday night in order to catch the morning ferry to the UK. The internet boking was easy and efficient, with no incomprehensible 'hangs', with prompt and clear feedback on e-mail and text. Reception was cheerful and helpful. There is no evening restaurant service on site, but a list of nearby places to eat was prominently displayed. The whole hotel was spotless, rooms were comfortable and not showing any of the usual signs of wear and tear; the location was quiet in spite of being only 10 mins walk to the town.
The car parking is very secure, and after-hours access is usable by. secret codes that are sent with your booking.

Second time staying here and it's a great choice if you're catching the ferry. The staff are fantastic - we were early and they went to great lengths to find out if our rooms were ready. They are very helpful about places to eat out too. The rooms seem to have been upgraded since last time - shower gel/shampoo provided and the beds are amazingly comfortable. All in all excellent value for money.

B&B hotels provide excellent value for money in an industry that is frequently dominated by snobbery. We shall continue to use this excellent chain of hotels whilst prices remain competitive. What we particularly appreciate are the high standard of cleansiness we have found in all the B&B establishments we have used; together with the warm & courteous welcome given by staff. What we appreciate most is that B&B senior management have taken into consideration that their market consists of travellers stopping just one night on their way to a holiday destination. Hence secure free parking is provided. This facilitates leaving the bulk of luggage in the vehicle overnight, rather than off loading it into the room.
Maybe B&B hotels should show a map more prominently on their site, clearly illustrating the highways with the location of B&B establishments.

A very good budget hotel, the room was very clean and comfortable, shower lovely and hot. An excellent breakfast, smoked bacon and scrambled egg was a nice touch, we couldn't fault it

Clean and good condition rooms, good shower that isn't stuck to the walls like most in the UK are, free WiFi, free secure parking and friendly staff. Nice breakfast, would say it's like an Ibis or a Travelodge for those in England to compare to. Reasonably comfy beds and good TV and has air con. Will stay again, thanks for our enjoyable stay!

Lovely clean and located close to the port. All of the staff we met were very welcoming,helpful and friendly. Close to restaurants and good value for money.Would recommend.

Recommended place to stay. Strategically located just outside Saint-Malo and nearby highways. You can check in online, which is convenient since we arrived very late after a long trip. The parking is free, and after the receptionist hours you get on the enclosed parking via your room code. The room was spacious and clean including everything in the bathroom. The water pressure is good, and so is the drainage for the shower. Sound proofing is good. There’s a cooling/heating system. The whole building is modern. Lifts are good, breakfast area is nice. Breakfast includes warm bacon and eggs. The heater might be hotter if possible. Staff is very friendly. There's also a great Italian Pizza place in the neighbourhood!

We arrived early for check-in and spoke to one of the staff and asked if we could leave our car there whilst we went for a walk and would come back later, this was O.K. with them so we went for a walk. The hotel was as expected as we had stayed there several times before and the staff were very good, it is in a good position for getting to the boat at St. Malo.

Very much like a premier Inn back in the UK. McDonald's over the road. Great 1 night stop after getting the ferry across and then moving on to the rest of our holiday.
Breakfast was simple and everything we needed.

The hotel is conveniently located for onward travel to St Malo or inland. Car parking is very easy and we appreciated the night time security gate. There are plenty of spaces and parking a larger vehicle is easy.
We received a warm welcome and the receptionist was extremely informative and spoke good English.
Our room was adequate for a one night stay. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Bathroom is small but okay for a night stay.
We enjoyed our breakfast which gave good alternatives. We had no problems as we were the first in the dining room. However, I suspect it would be very difficult when more people are there, as the layout of the food does need to be rearranged, rather than everything in a line.
Overall good value for money. I also appreciated the information sent prior to our stay.

I always choose B&B hotels to stay in when travel through France, and never been disappointed.

Excellent hotel, brilliantly located and spotlessly clean. Staff really friendly and helpful. Only issue was arriving at 1730 and the queue of traffic for McDonald's next door blocked our access to the hotel! Would highly recommend the hotel and the whole of the B&B chain.

Easy to access from the motorway, with a gated car park and 24/hr access. The concierge was very polite, informative and helpful. There is a ample dining area on site but it is located next to McDonald’s and a short distance from an Aldi. All while being only 15 minutes from the town center. The room was as expected. Very comfortable for an overnight stop with everything you would expect from suitable bedding, TV, WiFi, shower gel etc, down to the mysterious stains on walls and bugs in the bathroom but all in all the room was stylish, apt and clean.

The doors are coded so you will never lose your key

We used this as our stop over when making our way to St Malo in a hire car, before taking the ferry after back to the UK

Great spot just off the highway before you get to saint malo. Good soundproofing so didn't hear a thing from outside. Parking is ample but did fill up by the end of the day

We stayed here as it was close to the ferry terminal. We were really impressed with the standard of accommodation for a modest cost. Room was spacious and clean, good sized bathroom and ample free parking. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. Can strongly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious. The location is great because all you need can be found in a walking distance. Only the breakfast was a little disappointing, not much choice and therefore not the right alue for money. We will definitely come back here, a nice place to stay.

We used it as a stop over before our ferry back to Jersey. Great place wit ample secure parking, close to port.

Fantastic for a night stop or short stay. One up from basic and excellent value. A good breakfast too.

Stayed overnight here for morning crossing back to Britain good for the port about 15 minutes depending on the traffic comfortable room and secure parking very happy with my stay.

friendly and helpful reception staff and a clean well appointed room. Have stayed several times before and The local beach is well worth a visit with wonderful views and picnic benches Have normally ended up eating at Campanile but never been impressed with the restaurant. On this stay the Campanile was full of coach parties so we took a 5 minute stroll to GourmetWok which was stupendous for quality choice and price. Chinese /Japenese with a very French slant.Even got a 10% discount for being a B&B guest!and only 5 minutes from the ferry. What's not to like! Thinking about deleting this as it might make my booking next time more difficult.
