Cascades de Gimel

Three pretty waterfalls - we visited in April so they were pretty impressive i understand during the summer season they might not be as impressive. Took us about an hour to go round the three waterfalls.

This is a beautiful natural place. Well worth a visit. The village is quiant, there are a few shops and cafes. There's free parking and toilets. The waterfalls are beautiful and accessed down narrow tracks and can be viewed from many different positions, the walk along the stream can be as long as you like. There is a small fee to access the waterfalls and the cost is reasonable. Paying I would imagine helps with the upkeep, so if you visit please pay and help maintain the views for others who will follow you.

Really amazing feeling in the air.
Hearing the waterfall from long distance and the feeling of this small gem of a town is quite something.

Only 40 minutes from our home. We are so lucky. The cascades are very worth a visit. You pay €6 at the top of the walk, in high season, or walk to the house at the bottom and pay there out of season. In season you can have refreshments there. Being 'tight' Yorkshire folk, we took a walk on the opposite side by the river, equally pretty but easier for the less active. Remains of a chateau which you can explore. A very old toll bridge to walk down to. Such a pretty village, craft and artisanal shops well worth a browse, a creperie/cafe, a restaurant.

Small picturest village with free parking, lovely walk around the woods, you have to pay to go down to the waterfall and is a steep walk down but we didn’t bother as it was a nice walk out without doing this.

Gorgeous village, waterfalls were huge. Luckily a shop to get a beer half way back up. The falls visit is not for anyone who has trouble with stairs or heart/leg problems.

A great visit to see a beautiful, majestic, historical village with a castle ruin and breathtaking waters falls.
Take walking shoes and be prepared for lots of steps.
