Easily one of our greatest experiences in Champagne. Alena is so so SOOO great! We had a beautiful lunch and visited the vineyard just hours before harvest and will remember the sights, smells, and tastes forever. We spent time with Carrot the house cat and just loved every minute. Please visit!

What a wonderful experience. Darren (our guide) was incredibly informative about the house, the champagne making process and the champagne culture. The facility is intimate and exquisite. The champagnes we tasted (9 types) were all some of the best we have had and many bottles went home with us. I could not recommend Maison-Penet enough. A true gem of a champagne house!

This place is actually open, a lot of places on google were not open. Opens at 10am. Very friendly staff, parking , restroom. 17 euros for 3 tastings, free if you buy a bottle.

We visited La Maison Penet in Verzy as an afternoon trip from our stay in Reims and had an unforgettable experience.

The tour was informative, with our British-transplant host, Darren, providing fascinating insights into the history and process of champagne making and what makes Penet special. We loved learning about the unique methods used at this champagne house/grower.

The tasting was a delight, with a diverse selection of champagnes that showcased the exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Each champagne had its own distinct character, and we particularly enjoyed the their 100% pinot noir champagne with zero added sugar.

The ambiance of the champagne house was intimate and welcoming, perfectly complementing the visit.

Overall, our visit to La Maison Penet was exceptional, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the champagne region / Reims. Cheers!

We had a great time visiting La Maison Penet. We'd booked a tour which included a visit to the actual vineyard, followed by the cellars and then tasting three of their vintage champagnes. Our guide, Alena, was just lovely - extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. We learnt a lot about the history of champagne making and everything that goes into the production of it. Tasting the champagnes was a real treat (I'd never tried vintages before), and they were all very different (and very tasty).

They are a very friendly team with a real passion for what they do, and of course, amazing Champagnes. Darren was a great host and we learned more than we expected. We would highly recommend a visit, and we will be back next time we visit the region A++++ Merci!

An absolutely fantastic tasting experience. Darren was extremely knowledgeable and created a personable, enjoyable and fun afternoon. Delicious Champagnes in a beautiful setting. A unique House in terms of it’s single vineyard wines as well as a full ranges of vintage, non-vintage and rosé. I could not recommend this visit more, especially if you like your Champagne light yet complex.

The most appreciated stop on our champagne tour. Friendly and welcoming staff and excellent champagne. We sat in their patio and had lovely time before going uphill. This is a place we’d love to visit again.

Real history here, as well as history in the making as the current generation wine maker is all about innovation and a fresh approach to shaping flavors through bold blends, plot-specific champagnes, and other innovative techniques. Their cellars are a thrill and an excellent paring lunch is an option as well.

Simply outstanding small family owned Champagne house. Excellent Champagne. Call well ahead of time and schedule a wine tasting with meal. You will not be disappointed. Carefully thought out. Owners truly care about their customers and strive to provide you with the best experience. 15 different Champagne choices plus 2 different choices of Ratafia - and I may be missing some. All tour guides are exceptional. Very comfortable and pleasant setting.

We visited La Maison on a whim and were blown away by the employee who gave our champagne tasting. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Our group learned so much and the wine itself was incredible. Could not recommend more!

This is a a family house with the most lovely people using traditional methods to make fabulous Champagne. They were incredibly hospitable to us, and their champagne is great value. Please visit to support their business - we now will do so via ordering overseas and each time we visit the area.

Wonderful tour, and a lovely tasting room. We felt like we were all friends coming over for before dinner drinks and snacks. Nice grand Cru champagnes and the master wine maker likes very low sugar champagnes. Even though they use a gyro palate, the wines are very artisinial. The ratafia was excellent, and the liquor candies were fun. Good shipping prices so we shipped cases home easily. The ratafia however must be hand carried because of the bottle shape. This tour did not include a look at the vats or bottling equipment but we learned new things.
