LaM, Lille Métropole Musée d'art moderne, d'art contemporain et d'art brut

Wonderful exhibition space. Good permanent exhibits. Saw the I Noguchi exhibition. Fantastic. Lovely cafe too. Easy to get to from Lille centre.

We were out of season so only permanent collection open. Slightly disconcerting that you need to take the metro and a bus to get there- but view it as preparation for the artistic feast that awaits you. I enjoyed the Leger and of course the Modigliani and the Alexander Calder mobile in the grounds. Visit the cafe - we had an excellent fish and coconut curry

Very nice experience in Lille on a hot day. Calm and not too many people. There's a restaurant that we ignored. We visited the permanent exhibition only which was very impressive. There are lockers for your stuff.

Great museum - good art, great building and worth a walk around the park. Well worth the trip out of lille.

Visited the permanent collection, certainly worth the price, architecture of the building is also very nice. Good and honest food in the cafe.

The LaM museum near Lille 🇫🇷 is amazing. Also the exhibition ‘Paul Klee - Betweens two worlds’ that makes us (re)discover the art of Paul Klee from an angle as intimate as it is fascinating.

Situated a little distance away from the city centre, it is none the less worth a trip. Surrounded by nature and the serene feeling of as if being in the middle of nowhere, stepping towards giant outdoor sculptures and the architecture that feels like future meets nature is enchanting. Despite visiting on a Sunday, the museum remained peacefully calm and spacious that had time allowed I’d have enjoyed sitting down and staring at the field and sculptures more.

Both the permanent collection and the exhibition were very interesting, and the gardens around the museum is also very beautiful.

The journey from Lille is excruciating, and when u arrive.. Its soo worth it! I was impressed - the bulding is magnificent itself and the exhibitions I saw were well curated, mirroring recent trends yet bringing specific reflection on the topics. Everything is in 3 languages (Fr, Nl, En).

Museum with just the right size to visit. Cool pieces in the permanent collection, a garden to relax while admiring gigantic sculptures, and a great program of temporary exhibitions. I recommend even if you are not a museum size, as the size makes it visitable for all.
