La Passerelle de Mazamet

Astonishing! The bridge is magnificent, but what was mind-blowing was the village on the other side 🏠 We parked our car in the bridge's parking area and hiked for 20-30 minutes (depending on your pace) to reach the bridge. After crossing the bridge, we hiked for another 15-20 minutes through the village to reach the Virgin Mary statue 🗽I strongly recommend it! 😎🙋🏻‍♂

Great little hike to a terrific bridge. Public WC could use some help.

Visited whilst on holiday on a really hot day. Quite busy, we parked in the car park down the hill nearby, a few minutes walk into the village and then onto the main walkway. Path is a little steep in places, but not too challenging. The actual walkway provides stunning views on the valley, just dont look down!

Not gonna lie, I practically had my eyes closed the whole way across. I imagine if you're not a complete wuss, the views would be absolutely fantastic.

The cafes on both sides I can confirm are a welcome site in the summer. Une petite bière s'il vous plaît. I need to recover my masculinity!

If you are around Mazamet you must stop by La Passerelle in Hautpoul. It's easy to find and park nearby. You will access the bridge going through Hautpoul, a beautiful medieval village. It's very cute and worth a visit. I recommend to go there with fairly good footwear, the streets are very steep and the path that leads to the metallic bridge is a hiking path.

Fun bridge to walk across- has secure fencing on side but still moves slightly when crossing- trail and stairs leading to it. Looks like there is a zip line below it, but the sales for it were not on site. You park below and walk through a small historical village on the way to the bridge.

We went there with our parents. There were 2 paths, one that is steep and the other one more flat. The bridge and view were breathtaking !
However, if you come by car and park at the parking, you'll have to climb down the same way you went up.

A lovely medieval village with a fantastic suspension bridge to walk over. Views were fantastic and the bar where we had drinks and cake was very good with the owner and his wife being very friendly.

Really nice place to visit Haupol. The hike from the parking is pretty step, but worth. We will hve to come back for the via’s ferratas, they looked amazing!

A steep walk up an old Roman road or longer but slightly less steep walk through a medieval garden leads up to this suspended foot bridge. Not for the faint hearted but worth the walk. There are some harmonics when you cross the bridge unless you walk very slowly. If you don't fancy the steep walk up from the Mazamet side drive to Hautpoul and walk from that side. Great experience.
