It was perfect!!! We didn’t have a reservation. But they found us a table. Chef’s best dishes! Blue lobster, fine meat, best cheese…. Just perfect! You should definitely visit it! We come again next year!

Really lovely lunch! Beautiful surroundings and beautifully prepared food. I had the blue lobster grilled over the vines from the vineyards. It was quite a dramatic and special preparation. Delightful service! Very much recommend if you are the area.

This restaurant is recommended by our accommodations which open on Sunday as well
We have ordered the 90Euro set which includes 5 course and pairing with 4 wines
I really love the vibe and the food of this restaurant. The sommelier and staff are very friendly, kind and funny. Love them so much. Highly recommended a visit there.

Really enjoyed our dining experience at Le Saint Julien from start to finish.

The service staff was very welcoming, friendly and most of all hospitable. They checked regularly if everything was as we wished, made sure we were comfortable as English speaking guests. The atmosphere is beautiful and unlike other French places, the light is dimmed, the room is perfectly decorated and in ‘synch’ with the used cutlery, plates and appearance of the service staff.

The menu is interesting with the accompanying wines. The food was good and we enjoyed it a lot.

Price quality is on point.

Thank you for the very nice and perfect evening!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. After trying our best to figure out the French menu, we asked our waiter for an English menu. He was very kind and helpful. Helped us choose a wine to go with what we were eating for dinner and it was perfect. The food was delicious and we left very content. We were nervous about not being able to speak much French but they made us feel very comfortable

Lucky enough to have a walk in table for a Sunday lunch. Food are good as I expected. Ordered a steak fillet. It was well cooked and the bordelaise sauce is just amazing as well!

The food was absolutely divine. Advised on wine. Matched Sauternes with Foie Gras, and a 2002 Regaillades, I think, with Fillet de Boeuf a la Bordelaise. Tempted by a Creme Brulee really tasting of Vanilla. The lady looking after us was aux petite soins, and very knowledgeable about wines. The ambiance was very cosy in tasteful recently renovated and redecorated. Give it a miss, and you will regret it.

I have nothing but kind words for Le Saint Julien even though our experience was less than ideal. Our party of nine arrived 3/4 of an hour late for our noon lunch reservation due to an unexpectedly long Chateau tour and tasting. Plus, we had a 2pm rendezvous at another Chateau. This left us barely an hour for lunch. I knew we were in trouble when I saw there were no à la carte options; everyone had to order from multiple course prix-fixe menus. Needless to say, this placed unreasonable demands on the kitchen and the servers and forced all of us to order without reflection, eat fast and run! It was almost comical how quickly all this unfolded. I tried to apologize for the rush job to the chef/owner who came over to our table. He shrugged and said it happens all the time. But I could tell he wasn't too pleased. Anyway, somehow the staff did manage to roll everything out in time for us to wolf it down and split. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. It's a pity because it would have been so nice to linger over the exceptional dishes from the kitchen of this gorgeous restaurant.

Beautiful sunlit restaurant in Medoc. Wonderful food and service. Highly recommend the duck foie gras and blue lobster if available.

Starters were smoked salmon and mozzarella/truffle salad. Both were outstanding. But the winners were my main of monkfish in an almost chowder style sauce and a duck breast with foies gras sauce and sweet potato purée. One of the best meals we’ve had on our trip.

Superb ... gets better with each new visit. Outstanding food and a wine list better than most in Bordeaux itself. Attentive, efficient staff and a patron who not only looks the part but always raises a smile.

We arrived a few minutes before opening (early booking at 12:15) with an extra person. Though the restaurant was to be fully booked, the chef and staff very graciously made room for our guest. The food was wonderful, staff and chef attentive, and offered assistance with wine selection, which was very much appreciated. Foie gras starter, lamb entrée with potatoes au gratin, monk fish entrée with roasted potatoes, pastry with praline cream and chocolate lava cake for dessert. After lunch, we watch the chef roast chestnuts on the outdoor grill, accompanied by his explanation and friendly comments. Don't miss this!
