Bar La Petite Cale

This place is amazing. If you want an authentic cafe experience, please do come in. Richard the owner is a terrific person and for years has been creating a special ambience for visitors wanting a unique French perspective on life in a small town. He is an educated life philosopher as noted by the many quotes on the state of society and the political class adorning his bar. Come in and he may give you one of his classic surly ‘welcomes’ as he dismisses you and says he doesn’t serve tourists but what he really wants is for you to overcome his rough exterior and insist on staying to past the day in deep discussions of the dramatic changes impacting France and the world. Come ready to pass the time in a unique cafe setting with great company. Visiting is truly an experience worth traveling to. If you come in, tell Richard Virginie and Heather say hello and he will give you an extra hearty welcome! The drinks are fine but you are really coming for the hospitality!!

Super sympa. Accueillant. A pris le temps de papoter. Ne pas se fier au prime abord. Il ne faut pas oublier qu'un afflux de touristes peut être usant...😉. Il.faut se mettre a la place de tout le monde😉. Tenir un bar n'est pas de tout repos. Et j'aime la franchise.

Endroit à fréquenter je le recommande les autres sont totalement faux ne vous fiez pas aux apparences des concurrents l’établissement est neuf et l’accueil est convivial

Gezellig en redelijke prijzen. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, vooral als je het in de Franse taal probeert.
