Bed and Breakfast Villa Marguerite

Our stay at Villa Marguerite in Cadouin was our favorite in Dordogne. Cadouin was a delightful place with great restaurants (including the Villa) to base for visits to charming towns south of the Dordogne River. Caroline provides wonderful hospitality and Florence is an amazing chef. Rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. The terrace is inviting for beautiful breakfast (a real treat!) and summer dinners. That said, the inside dining room is beautiful - we need to come back when it’s cooler to enjoy it too! Thank you for a very pleasant visit.

We loved the experience of staying here so much. My family of four biked here as part of a loop in the area. The owners/hosts are warm and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The tiny village of Cadouin is peaceful and lovely. I can also say with certainty that the food prepared by the owner/chef is truly amazing, as good and even better than meals we enjoyed throughout Paris and our home in the San Francisco Bay Area, which also values exceptional food. Top recommendation.

We thoroughly enjoyed a 6 night stay at Villa Marguerite. Absolutely lovely house, hosts, location. Caroline and Florence were the perfect hosts and wonderful company.

Villa Marguerite and Cadouin were perfect for a 2 night stay on our bicycle tour. Caroline and Florence were great hosts.

Wonderful stay at the Villa Marguerite.
Caroline and Florence are exceptionally welcoming hosts, you really felt you were a guest in their home. The B&B is beautifully styled and furnished, and the rear garden which our room overlooked was a joy to wake up to. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfy and with all the facilities you would need.
Breakfast was fresh fruit, pastries and cereals, a great start to the day - we also dined in one night and enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal cooked by Florence who is an exceptional and talented chef.
We are already planning our next visit as we cannot wait to return!

What a lovely refuge in the heart of the Perigord and the Dordogne region. Caroline and Florence are amazing hosts, and if you have an opportunity to eat at their restaurant--you should, it was exquisite. Breakfast was copious and delicious, the room was spacious and well-appointed, and the service excellent. They are right in the town of Cadouin and close to the Abby and restaurants. For biking (which we were doing) it was well situated to visit the many bastides and other attractions in the area. We hope to return in the future!

We had a fantastic stay. Villa Marguerite is a very beautiful place and Caroline and Florence are very warm and welcoming hosts. The rooms are very lovingly decorated and everything you might need is there. The garden is also a great place to hang out in. We can also highly recommend eating at the table d'hotes. Florence is a great and very experienced chef, and also one of the few in the area who knows how to make amazing vegetarian/vegan dishes. We ate there twice in three days because we loved it so much. The breakfast is also really tasty and fresh and varied.The location in Cadouin is also very good. I could go on but let me just say: if you can stay at Villa Marguerite, do!

Florence and Caroline were just wonderful hosts. The B&B is just beautiful, the decoration is amazing and the gardens are also unique. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while at the Villa and Florence and Caroline were so sweet, bringing us a special treat. Very nice gesture. The room we stayed in was just perfect. It was like going back in time, quite a unique experience which I was recommend to anyone who likes to be in a magical place. We dined in the beautiful dining room and enjoyed fresh local products which were beautifully prepared by Florence and served by Caroline - delicious food and wine. Finished off by a lovely herbal tea. I highly recommend spending some time at the Villa Marguerite. Merci beaucoup à vous deux Caroline et Florence. Have a wonderful summer!!!! Beautifully restored and decorated B&B with wonderful hosts and breakfast. It is a perfect farmhouse to spend a vacation in the French country.

Une véritable chambres d'hôtes de charme. Un accueil de grande qualité est très convivial. Nous avons dîné au restaurant qui est délicieux tout comme le petit-déjeuner.
Sitié dans un très joli village près de la jonction de la vallée de la Dordogne et de celle de la Vézère une situation idéale pour rayonner dans la région. Nous n'avions pas envie de repartir!

Die Liebe zum Detail spürt man hier schon bei der Ankunft und sie prägt den gesamten Aufenthalt.

Perfekt zubereitete, regionale Produkte kunstvoll inszeniert zu einem unschlagbaren Preis, begleitet von einem herzlichen und freundlichen aber doch unaufdringlichen Service machen hier jeden Abend zu einem perfekten gastronomischen Erlebnis.

Tellement magique. La décoration vraiment un régal pour les yeux. Vous pouvez dire que les propriétaires Caroline et Florence ont passé des années à développer une atmosphère chaleureuse et accueillante. C'était vraiment agréable d'interagir avec eux et nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Le petit déjeuner était fantastique. Si je pouvais noter 6 étoiles, je le ferais. Si cette critique semble trop enthousiaste, vous devrez découvrir pourquoi par vous-même.

Un très beau séjour à la Villa Marguerite à Cadouin ! Caroline et Florence sont très amicales et accueillantes. Le petit-déj quotidien est excellent, un de nos souvenirs préférés :)

Le lieu est chaleureux, décoré avec goût, le soucis du détail est autant présent dans l’espace que dans la cuisine. Caro et Flo y apportent leur touche de bienveillance, tout est propice à la détente et la déconnexion. J’ai pu y goûter plusieurs cartes différentes avant d‘écrire cet avis et la cuisine est d’une justesse infinie ! Une adresse incontournable

Bevlogen en zeer gemotiveerde gastvrouw ( en). Propere kamer en douche/ toilet. Leuke en warme ontvangst. Behulpzaam bij vragen. Het eten was verfijnd en gevarieerd. Jammer dat de tonijn té doorbakken en niet warm maar ( te) lauw was. Maar dat was qua kwaliteit ook eigenlijk de enige opmerking dat we ter plekke aan de gastvrouw door hebben gegeven. Daarnaast vonden we de prijzen van het menu (nog losgezien van en dus éxclusief de drankjes) aan de stevige prijs. Maar al met al zeker een aanrader in een heel mooie (en nog verstilde) omgeving. Met historische plaatsen, grotten , middeleeuwse dorpen etc in de buurt.

Très belle rencontre avec deux femmes extraordinaires dans un endroit charmant dans un petit village très authentiquer qui vaut le coup.
