A must see experience you can spend hours in the gardens

This privately owned Chateau is open to the public. It’s rich history and beautiful gardens are what make this “Little Versailles” so exquisite! The cost to maintain this property are astronomical so financial contributions are desirable to help bring this property back to its former glory.

A lovingly maintained and preserved chateau where we learned about and sampled different cheeses and ciders and toured the residence. In the ballroom we were greeted by a couple in 18th century clothing who taught us to properly bow and curtsy then demonstrated the minute. Was so fitting.

As we left the grounds the couple came to the door and waved goodbye!

We had a very special experience provided by Adventures by Disney. The staff is wonderful and the grounds are splendid! A lovely place to spend an afternoon.

This chateau is worth a visit, a guided tour costs 9 euro. The guidance was in French, but there are written guides in English available. Though the level of spoken French was mediocre, most of the people should understand what the guide is talking about. Our guide was very friendly, gave us the time to look around and take a photo here and there.

A very interesting tour! Beautiful gardens, unfortunately the fountains aren't maintained, which means that some didn't work anymore.

We had a lot of fun on our visit. It was a tour option for the cruise we were on. The grounds are beautiful. You can only tour the lower level of the Chateau, as it is still a private residence. As part of the the tour we were on we sampled cidre and cheeses from the region, so if you can find a tour that offers this type of thing, go on it. Would love to come back in spring/summer to see the gardens.

Brilliant heritage event including guided tour.

Upon visiting the Chateau de Bizy, we were blown away by the airy and spacious atmosphere. Seriously, we almost got lost in the high ceilings, tall windows, and elegant furnishings! But once we found our way around, we enjoyed the natural light and fresh air that flowed effortlessly through the castle's interior design. And outside, we had plenty of space to stretch our legs and play a round of "find the fountain" in the extensive gardens and grounds. All in all, Chateau de Bizy was a fantastic destination that left us feeling positively buoyant!

The visit was very personal - we ended up being the only two people on the last tour (at 5 PM). The chateau is still owned and lived in, and the tour includes nice touches like being able to play a beautiful grand piano. Overall more interesting than we expected and worth a visit!

Our guide was great! She explained the ownership of the Chateau quite thoroughly and in a way that is understandable to those who don't really know too much about French history.

It's a beautiful place and the gardens are so peaceful since there's not many people around.

Beautifully appointed chateau with fun activities. Not too big or too crowded. The staff were very friendly and inviting. Learning to dance a quadrille was fun.

This is a don't miss! Stunning chateau with beautifully decorated rooms oozing Napoleonic and revolutionary history.
There's an orangery, stables, fountains, statues, artworks and stunning gardens. And when we were there, hardly anyone else to share it with.
If you're going to Giverny, call in on the way.
The family still live here so it's an absolute privilege to have visited. C'est tres magnifique!
