Magnificent! Was worried it was going to be too touristy but it was so amazing down in the underground caverns with beautiful limestone structures. There were three lifts down making it very accessible. A few stairs before the boats. And a loop of about 150 stairs up and down you could avoid and walk straight back to the boats if needed though that walk up those steps was the most impressive to me. Definitely go to the toilets before going down. Line up at least 5mins before your timed ticket. Take a light jacket for drips of water and 13degree temperature below. Suitable for children. The staff were friendly and helpful. Boat ride was incredible and the guides spoke both French and English which was lovely. The free audio guides worked in multiple languages. Buy your tickets in advance online. We spent a good two hours wandering about the caverns

The caves and water features are simply awesome and definitely worth a visit. Descending into the sink hole you have no idea of what delights await! The caves are well worth a visit….

Nice place to visit during summer. The cave is great with superhigh ceiling, different atmosphere in different places. Stunning areas. Even our teenagers enjoyed the place 😁. Place is kept quite natural, well maintained. The management of tickets with time slot is perfect, if you purchased your ticket online, very little waiting time.

Absolutely stunning and the whole experience will take your breath away. The staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating. It’s very well organized too to keep people flowing. I recommend visiting first thing on a weekend morning to avoid any wait.

The best cave we have ever visited.

Amazing natural wonder. Good tour with a boat ride over the river 100 meters deep in the mountain. You will see the caves 94 meter high, very well lighted, so you can see all the beautiful features.

The visitors are reasonably spaced to avoid the congestion, yet, you are not rushed and can take your time walking and listening to the audio guide.

clearly a must see in the region. A unique and beautiful pit/cave in which you get to travel on the underground river in small (and totally secured) boats. Truly amazing!

Careful: you must book tickets online in advance and show up 15 minutes before the time you selected. The place is obviously quite popular on very hot days.

Fantastic. I had low expectations, having visited several cave tourist attractions in the past, but this was a truly exceptional must-visit location. Enormous colourful caverns, gondola trip through towering caverns, beautifully illuminated, friendly and informative guides.
Book in advance. Go in low season. Bring a light jacket for the damp, drippy, cool sections.

It was amazing and very cool for a hot day. The experience was very awe-inspiring, the scale and vastness was well preserved and the operation very slick. Lots of stairs!

Very interesting place to go for a visit! Stunning nature creations that have been well preserved and presented.
It is very crowded in the summer holidays season, so keep that in mind! Also, don't neglect the advice to use the bathroom before you get in!

I visited many caves and this one is exceptional. Very cool, well maintained, unique experience. You go into the caves very deep, with a boat tour included. Absolutely recommend dropping by while visiting the region. I was there in July and i definitely recommend buying tickets in advance

Wow! This is just an amazing place on earth:) it’s definitely worth visiting if you’re nearby or even driving a couple of hours. Be prepared to stand outside and burning on the sun but this is part of the experience. Can’t say the entrance is very organized and they definitely need to have more umbrellas or smth outside for the crowd. When you book the tickets, it says arrive earlier, however, in our case they were late so we had to wait like 45 mins to get inside. Once you get there, be prepared to wait another 15-30 mins and to get on the boat. But the whole thing is worth it. Not very day you can see such caves, lakes etc. also it’s quite chilly over there so it’s good visiting in the middle of the day when the sun is scorching.

A wonderful chasm leading a cave in the Lot countryside. Breathtaking, with a commentary explaining the history and sights to be seen.
There were three lifts down or if feeling energetic over 500 steps down. A boat trip down the river was unexpected but fascinating.
Thoroughly recommended.

An amazing experience. We spent approximately two hours here gazing at the astounding limestone formations and enjoying a boat ride down the underground river. Well worth a visit, it is somewhere I would return to.

We visited Gouffre de Padirac last week and were thoroughly impressed. The descent into the vast underground cavern is awe-inspiring, with its towering limestone walls and crystal-clear subterranean river. The boat ride through the cave was a highlight, revealing stunning rock formations and eerie, otherworldly beauty. The guided tour was informative and well-paced, making it easy to appreciate the natural wonder of this unique site. If you're in the area, Gouffre de Padirac is a must-see attraction that leaves a lasting impression.

Amazing!! Such a beautiful and fascinating place. Self guided audio tour telling the story from when the french cave explorer Eduoard Martel first discovered it in 1899 then returned to lower materials to construct a boat to fully explore the turquoise waters and massive cave. Today a boat guide will paddle you through part of this impressive cave system and answer and questions you may have.

I would recommend a visit. Would be a particularly good trip on a hot day.

You can take the lift or the stairs.

Toilets and cafe before cave entrance.

This heavenly formation takes one to another universe, from its jungle like vegetation, which one is able to spot from the too to the bamboozling depths of a river spanning 20km with azure, crystal-clear water. We had an amazing boat ride and were amazed to see everything this outstanding and exceptional cave has to offer.

Amazing experience! I came with not much expectation because I don’t know this place very well. And it has much much more to offer than it looks like.

Unbelievably great. Book tickets online, slots fill up. There are several parking lots, some free, some you have to pay. They have picnicking area on grounds as well as food for sale and a bar. DO NOT be late for your time slot. You get a headset in your language. You can take the stairs or elevator. Wear walking shoes that can get wet. Bring a light jacket, it's cool down there and damp. Water drips from ceiling. You will still have to do stairs to get to the boats, this is not a place for frail or people in bad shape. You will have to be able to balance and step into a boat. You have a guide paddle you thru the caves, it's amazing. You can get off at the end and take photos. No photos from boat. When you are ready, go line up to get the boat back. Then back up stairs or elevator.
