Restaurant Maison Cachée

We visited this place today. The food was extremely good. The chef is very talented and the food shows that. We had the duck breast, the pork and the soup as well as the tuna. Each dish was made to perfection.

The service was friendly and professional. The lady was very attentive.

This restaurant also has several awards.

Fantastic meal and great hosts. The experience was so lovely that we went a second time in our three day stay.

I believe that that the restaurant is under new ownership, and now offers a fine dining experience at very reasonable prices.

Expect a pre-set choice of 2 or 3 courses (starter/main, main/dessert, or all three) all arranged on the day from local ingredients. Cannot recommend it enough.

Went to this restaurant having had it recommended by our neighbours and so pleased that we did. Food was imaginative, beautifully crafted and bursting with flavour. Ambiance relaxed and convivial. Definitely the best meal we have had locally and we can't wait to return .

We were so lucky to discover this treasure of a place and to have a table after a cancellation. We felt warmly welcomed and enchanted by the experience. The chef obviously puts so much love and skill and art into the dishes. As a pesco vegetarian, it really is the best French food i have had in my life. Creative, tasty and filling. The hostess was kind, sweet, charming and attentive. The decor was as thoughtful as the dishes. We absolutely loved it. Booking ahead advised. So grateful for the memory ☺🙏✨

The experience was very pleasant. High quality cuisine that mix different local flavours. Every bite was a discovery mixing different local flavours. Set in an historic house just a few meters away from the main street the atmosphere is welcoming in the interior and the terrace. You need time to enjoy the experience, at least 2 hours. The restaurant is run by Sarah & Alban, just the two of them. The quality of food is very high as the service is very friendly, but you need the mindset and time to enjoy it, don't even think of it if you are in a rush. Making a reservation (only by phone) is highly recommended. The good news, Sarah speaks English and is very kind & helpful.

We were lucky enough to get the last reservation of the lunch serving on a Friday in August. The food was phenominal and beatifully done. Excellent value. The hostess spoke english which was helpful for my terrible french. Make sure to call and make a reservation. All restaurants in Rochfort en terre are always busy.

A highlight of our month long trip in Europe. (Made our top 5 list!) Excellent meal. We loved and savored every bite.

My first Gallettes and they were delicious. They also serve food thoughout the day. The other restaurants refused to serve us after 2pm.

Une très belle découverte! Des plats délicieux de l’entrée au dessert, très jolie présentation, de belles portions, un service impeccable: on s’est régalé!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans ce restaurant.
Les plats sont originaux avec beaucoup de saveurs qui se marient parfaitement et en plus la présentation est parfaite.
Le service est impeccable et les personnes sont très sympathiques.
Je recommande chaudement.

Merveilleux ! Belle maison de village ancienne à la déco originale et soignée (couverts anciens en argent, napperons comme serviette de table, des objets chinés, superbe salon à l'étage ..), nous avons adoré l'accueil chaleureux et doux, gentillesse et professionnalisme sans faille. Quant à la cuisine que dire de plus c'est un régal de saveurs, de découvertes et de fraîcheur, (le bœuf nous a particulièrement marqués, quel délice)... et cette carte des vins 😱 parfaite

Menu unique à 38 euros. Très bons produits locaux, excellent mélange des saveurs, raffiné. Nous avons adoré ! (Top 3 des restos préférés de ma vie... vraiment ! )

Repas avec deux couples d’amis , le dimanche de la fête des mères . Repas excellent, très belle sélection de vins !

Nous sortons à l'instant de ce joli petit restaurant qui nous a enchanté les papilles du début à la fin. Belle cuisine raffinée et goûteuse. Prix plus que correcte au regard de la prestation. Nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant dans ce beau village.

De l'apéritif au dessert, nous avons vécu une magnifique expérience culinaire. Un régal pour les papilles comme pour les yeux et l'odorat.
Les saveurs des produits locaux sont sublimées par des mariages à la fois harmonieux et audacieux.
L'organisation, la préparation des plats et le service sont fluides.
Le lieu est charmant et invite à la détente. On se sent comme chez soi, dans une ambiance chaleureuse et feutrée.
Un bonheur d'avoir un tel restaurant près de chez nous !
