It's an excellent Friday night fish & chip supper here, but I forgot to take any photos apart from the dessert!! Well worth a visit! Friendly, efficient host & staff & good value for money!

If you are stuck for something to do, get yourself over to this place, it's lovely. Service is amazing, polite and friendly and the food is fantastic. If you go on the fish and chips night, book in advance as it is always full.

Can be certain you always come away having had a lovely meal in really nice surroundings with a great atmosphere and great service,not to mention at an excellent price.

Super impressed by today's service and food. I tried the chicken pie, which was recommended by Helle, and was not disappointed. Absolutely gorgeous. Great deserts with lovely drinks. See you again on Friday.

We love it. The fish and chips on a Friday night is lovely, but go for lunch too! A different menu every day and you're made to feel so welcome. We've been easily 10 times now and will return many more. :D

This is our Friday lunchtime haunt whenever we are in France. If you like a really good meal (Friday is Steak & Chips day) this is the place to visit. The quality is excellent & cooked to perfection. The service is first class and you get a very warm welcome.
3 Course Lunchtime Special, wine & coffee 15€ Exceptional value for money without a doubt. We highly recommend it.

June 2019 and we have returned to France. The weather is abysmal, but the warm welcome & the great service definitely cheers us up! The quality of the food is as good as always, the only difference we have noted on this visit is the menu has become more varied & wine is no longer included in the price. 3 Course Lunchtime Menu with Coffee is still 15€ and represents excellent value for money.

The California is a really welcoming bar/restaurant with excellent food , a good range of drinks - including Guinness - very reasonably priced and a great mix of French and English regular customers. Highly recommended. The fish and chips on Friday night is legendary. Best phone ahead to book. I hope to see you there soon!
