Château de Choloy

My family and I stayed for a couple of nights in August and had a wonderful time here. The building is beautiful as are the surrounding areas where you can walk the grounds or relax. We stayed in the West Wing and it is huge and very charming, you could spend hours admiring the decor. The rooms are grand and very clean with a nice view out of the balcony on to the Château grounds.

It has a huge fireplace and plenty of wood to spend an evening relaxing by the fireplace. If the weather is nice you can enjoy a glass of wine outside on the bistro chairs. The breakfast was amazing, every item was locally sourced and delicious. The cheese platter is certainly worth getting and is also locally produced.

We managed to catch part of the wine tour but really wished we could have stayed longer. There are some nice walks to explore the local area so be sure to ask Maria for some routes. The area is lovely and quiet and there are no crowds of tourists or busy traffic to contend with which makes exploring so much easier.

We'll always remember our stay here and we will certainly stay again on our next travels in France. They are very pet friendly so you can bring your dogs too 😊

A great place to experience the real France. Rural but 3 minutes from highway, very countryside chic with huge rooms at insanely low price. owners are kinder to me than my own family, and they make their own wine! If you are passing by, make sure you book early as you do not want to miss out on this popular locale!

We spend two nights in Château de Choloy in March.
Very clean and charming apartment in an old chateau with a lots of history behind. Family LVB hosted us as we were part of the family, nice breakfast at our choices and a very tasty dinner made by Madame Loevenbruck. Which we were lucky to try a traditional dish from region.
The cherry on the cake was visiting the vineyard with Monsieur Loevenbruck including wine tasting from their cooperative.
We absolutely recommend this place and don’t forget to spend some time around the chateau garden to reconnect with your soul .

Room was extremely clean and the bed was really comfortable.

Fabulous chateau split into individual accommodations. We are in a charming appartment on 3 levels with two huge bedrooms, a glamorous bathroom, dining room with a large table and huge fire place next to a small kitchen with an old stone sink. There is a small sitting room off one of the bedrooms, and a beautiful staircase. We made dinner and ate outside at a long table. There were guests from the other partitions also dining outside in other parts of the huge beautiful garden.

A little difficult to find, but a lovely place to stay near Toul. Catherine was very helpful with finding a place to eat and information on the area. There were only two of us, but we had a whole apartment to ourselves and the grounds were lovely! Breakfast, which was included, was delivered by Catherine, fresh bread, croissants, home made jam, fresh fruit - couldn't have asked for more. A shame it was only one night! I think "shabby chic" describes this lovely old place perfectly. It would be great for a family with children to stay and tour the area.

A wonderful experience in a place like no other !
Trust me, you should definitely take a break in this castle for a night or a week.

Prachtige locatie! Echt een Napoleoneske villa. Ik had de rechtervleugel, veels te groot maar top dat er een keukentje was en een eigen uitgang. De tuin is magisch, de zalen binnen ook. Lekker ontbijt gehad en vriendelijke ontvangst. Wellicht 1 puntje ter verbetering maar een detail: de handdoeken in de droger drogen, zijn ze lekker zacht ;) Verder supermooi en kom zeker terug!

Wàt een gave plek is dit! Met ons gezin hebben we hier 1 nachtje verbleven. Een heel vriendelijke en gastvrij ontvangst.Wij zaten in de linker vleugel. Royaal appartement met een paar kamers. Zodra je de drempel over stapt, ga je heel ver terug in de tijd. Je waant je even in de 18e eeuw. Het is een heel oud pand, dus alles kraakt en piept, maar dat geeft juist de charme die hierbij hoort. Een paar algemene ruimten, waarvan de ontbijtzaal er één is. Sochtends heerlijk ontbeten. En dan de tuin... je zal hier maar elke dag wakker worden.. absoluut de moeite waard, mocht u twijfelen. De familie heeft mooie verhalen hoe dit allemaal ontstaan is door de jaren heen. Marie en familie, hartelijk dank!

Un super gîte dans une demeure exceptionnelle. Pour les amateurs de vieilles maisons. Un parc splendide aussi et des propriétaires très intéressant. Parler d'arbres de nature ou de vins est passionnant. Le confort moderne a été ajouté dans les chambres sans dénaturer leurs charmes anciens. Les vins de la propriété sont aussi a goûter. Un lieu a découvrir absolument si vous passez dans la région

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à trois dans la chambre verte du château. Le petit déjeuner était frais, savoureux et généreux. Le parc est grand et très joli, bébé a aimé sa première expérience de balançoire. La chambre était très agréable et l'équipement pour bébé nous a facilité la vie. Aussi, profitez-en pour goûter ou acheter leurs vins, ils étaient très bons! Merci pour l'accueil chaleureux et cette expérience de vie de château.

Il y a, comme ça, des endroits qui suscitent l'émoi au premier regard. Ce domaine surprenant où s'entremêlent authenticité, histoire et quiétude en fait partie. Que ce soit en ses murs imposants ou dans le somptueux jardin arboré à l'arrière, chaque espace de ce château nous a livré d'insolites curiosités.
Malgré un séjour malheureusement trop court, notre hôte a admirablement réussi à éveiller notre intérêt de par son accueil, sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité, sa passion et ... sa cuisine liant simplicité et raffinement.

Séjour ressourçant, un cadre magique avec un charme fou, un accueil chaleureux... Le lieu se suffit à lui même pour y rester se détendre et profiter du parc ou des grandes pièces communes du château qui ont une belle vue. Nous avons eu la chance de visiter les vignes de la famille et de goûter leur vin, experience au top!

Un véritable voyage dans le temps, mais avec tout le confort moderne, évidemment. J'ai adoré mon séjour au Château de Choloy et je le recommande à quiconque voudrait une expérience bien plus dépaysante qu'en hôtel ou en AirBnB.

Malgré le temps pluvieux nous avons été séduit par le cadre enchanteur d'un parc à l'anglaise, le charme à l'ancienne de l'appartement mis à notre disposition et l'accueil chaleureux et discret de notre hôtesse. Une très bonne surprise !

Geweldig om eens te bezoeken, groot eigen tuin met een kleine bos achterin. Pingpongtafel voor de kids. Diner is meer als het geld waard. Vriendelijke gastvrouw, die je ook optijd met rust laat.
Het is geen 5 sterren natuurlijk. Sommige dingen moet je doorheen zien maar dat hoort bij zo'n groot oud huis.
Water in de keuken is bronwater. Ze maken ook eigen wijn. Bubbeltjws wijn is goed te doen.
Al met al een aanrader!

Was will man mehr, eine Nacht in einem Schloss und was für einem!!! Auf der Rückfahrt von Südfrankreich haben wir im Château de Choloy einen Zwischenstopp eingelegt und waren mehr als begeistert. Der überaus freundliche, nette und warme Empfang, die wahrhaft adligen Räumlichkeiten, der Garten….nein Schlosspark und das wunderbare und komfortable Zimmer im ersten Stock mit Blick auf den Park. Die Zimmer alle mit Kühlschrank und den leckeren Weinen des Gutes, die für einen sehr fairen Preis angeboten wurden und den Abend noch schöner gemacht haben. Die allgemeinen Räume luden mit einem großen Salon, einem traumhaften Esszimmer und nicht zuletzt der Bibliothek mit einem Billardtisch zum Verweilen, Lesen, Reden und Spielen ein. Für nur eine Übernachtung eigentlich viel zu schade, daher kommen wir bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank Marie für Deine Gastfreundschaft.

L'endroit est magnifique : un cadre verdoyant, un château 'dans son jus' mais avec tout le confort de la modernité. Un Acceuil des plus agréable et attentionné. Parfaitement adapté à un séjour en famille (chambre attenante aux parents). Petit déjeuner délicieux et nous avons même eu le privilège d'avoir du raisin des vignes coupé la veille par nos hôtes en pleines vendanges.

Arrivés par hasard( on dit que le hasard fait bien les choses 😁 ) ce fut une très belle découverte. La demeure et son parc sont magnifiques, les hôtes adorables, les chambres propres et confortables. Catherine cuisine à merveille, est attentionnée et Philippe vous fera découvrir l’excellent vin de sa vigne. Merci pour ces très belles soirée et nuit.

Une grande expérience ! Pendant quelques jours, vivez une expérience hors du temps en revenant au temps de l'Empire. Et profitez du vin des côtes de Toul, bien sûr !
