Le Bistrot Maritime

Wonderful place, delicious food, there are daily offers, as well as fast and very friendly service. Everyone speaks English. Our company was lucky and got a table without a reservation, but it is quite busy at lunchtime, so it is better to make a reservation in advance.

We were visiting Saint Emilion and didn’t want to eat at any of the tourist restaurants. We got a recommendation to try Bistrot Maritime and wow I’m glad we did. They managed to squeeze us in even though they were packed (on a Tuesday)—all locals as far as I could tell. We got a lovely table outside with a beautiful view of the river. The food was delicious, the portions were generous and the cost wasn’t bad for what we got (about 120 euros for 4 people, with some appetizers, dessert and a glass of wine). Even the children’s menu got a thumbs up from my son, who is a very picky eater.

Great location, fabulous food (menu in english available), excellent wine and lovely staff (also english speaking). We had a great time.

Had a fantastic evening at Bistro Maritime. Not only was the food fantastic (my rare steak was cooked perfectly), our waitress Ninon was extremely accommodating: really warm and friendly and went to the effort of translating everything for us. Would absolutely recommend for an evening meal in Libourne.

Amazing food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Such a gem of a restaurant, could not recommend more. We had the steaks which were incredible and perfectly cooked.

Delicious lunch as always. We had the Tuna and Burrata as main courses and a bottle of Rose Barrabaque which we know well

Very nice place. My dad had the baked cod and it was wonderful. I had the special if the day, and omlete with mushrooms and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly done. My wife had the vegetarian plate, and the vegetable fritters were fried perfectly. The deserts were also very good. Our cocktails were also very good.

Tried this fantastic restaurant after reading some recently posted reviews and can honestly say they have given me faith in French restaurants again.
This place was excellent, friendly English speaking staff, amazing fresh , well seasoned food and air conditioned inside with lovely covered terrace over looking the river. The steak tartar was exceptional. Great choice of wine to fit any occasion. Will definitely be going back. Parents who have lived in France for 18 years said it was one of the best restaurants they had eaten at.

We had dinner here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful evening. We are staying across the road and the restaurant was highly recommended by Jonathon at our hotel. It was a very warm night and the ambiance, with the doors open and the veranda overlooking the river, was relaxed and really lovely. The restaurant was very busy and the staff didn’t stop all night but our waitress was lovely - friendly and patient with our attempts to speak French even though her English was excellent. My husband said his steak was the best he’d ever eaten and my pavé de thon was absolutely delicious. If you want good, local food beautifully prepared and great service in a relaxed setting, you can’t go past Le Bistrot Maritime.

This wonderful restaurant is situated along the riverside. The menu features a good variety of appetizers including charcuterie platters, salads, foie gras, and seafood. They have a great selection of wines featuring ones produced in Bordeaux.

Highly recommend the tender and very flavourful sautéed squid. We also ordered the steak and salad, as well as a duet of veal and pork belly which came with a sweet potato purée and a mélange of vegetables, which came with a side of fries. The dishes were all beautifully plated.

If you are staying in Libourne, I recommend making a reservation to dine here.

Beautiful view of the river and sunset. Good quality food ratio. Nothing super special, but tasty nevertheless. Friendly, but busy staff. The orders did not take long however.

All dishes were tasty. We tried Canards de la Ferme and Cote de Boeuf - both were excellent. Little disappointed with pave de thon which has no taste.
Staffs are friendly and very helpful.

Nice spot! We had a few different meals including kids menu and they were all good. Deserts, too. Service and ambience were also excellent
