Caveau du Schlossberg

I read some negative reviews, but honestly our visit their was really great. Staff was funny and helpful. Tarte flambée were pretty decent, for a touristic city. Prices are everywhere a bit more than in non-touristic cities in Alsace, so we didn’t feel robbed. Worth stopping there and having a great time with your family, friends or date.

Great meal here a couple of evenings ago. Super friendly service and really good food. Highly recommended if in the area. Certainly we’ll hope to be back

I recently had the delightful opportunity to share a memorable lunch with my parents at Caveau du Schlossberg, located in the enchanting town of Kaysersberg. This cozy wine cellar, with its intimate ambiance and rustic charm, proved to be the perfect backdrop for our family gathering.

The menu showcased the best of Alsatian cuisine, with standout dishes such as the succulent pork knuckle and flavorful tartes flambeaux. However, it was the Alsatian apfelstrudel and local wines that truly elevated our dining experience to new heights. The apfelstrudel was a scrumptious blend of tender apples, warm spices, and flaky pastry, while the wines showcased the region's unique terroir and winemaking prowess.

The staff at Caveau du Schlossberg were not only attentive but also warm and cheerful. One highlight of our visit was when the waiter, beaming with genuine enthusiasm, serenaded a guest with a traditional happy birthday song as they presented a cake adorned with a sparkling firecracker. It was moments like these that made our experience feel personal and unforgettable.

If you're a traveler with a penchant for fine food and wine, I highly recommend a visit to Caveau du Schlossberg. The combination of delectable Alsatian cuisine, a captivating atmosphere, and heartfelt service will leave you with cherished memories and a desire to return time and time again.

Best diner in Kayserberg, EVER !!
The service was impeccable, the waiter was super nice and the food delicious and portion were great !
Overall very fair price and great quality food and service. We ordered two salads and a tarte flambée, with two dessert and wine!

Tasty, big portions, reasonable prices. Located near the road, but mostly no cars, so we have not noticed them. Very beautiful inside and around the restaurant. I like here potatoes with cheese, creme fraiche and landrones.

We were so hungry, arriving in Kaysersberg, that we picked Caveau du Schlossberg almost at random, thinking it must be good given the number of people seated at the outdoor tables. Having secured one of the last lunch tables available outside, we perused the menu (only in French and German), and were assisted by very welcoming and helpful staff in my poor French and their poor English. We picked on a superb linguine with langoustines and prawns, and a delectable veal wrapped in cheese, and were very impressed with the quality, freshness, preparation and presentation. Not cheap by any means, but good value for money, and better than one might expect from the rather casual appearance of the place. Recommended.

The waiter was so happy, that it was congatious. The portions were large and the duck that we had was excellent.
Definitely a happy choice.

Une très belle découverte. De passage à Kaysersberg nous y avons déjeuné et avons vraiment beaucoup apprécié l'expérience. Des plats typiquement alsaciens savoureux et copieux. Que dire du kougelhopf glacé, bien arrosé. Le service est efficace, rapide et vraiment sympathique. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés.

Restaurant typique alsacien. Toutes les spécialités sont à la carte. Les plats sont servis généreusement et tout est frais. La terrasse est grande le long de la rue principale de Kaysersberg mais le soir la ville est assez calme donc pas de bruit. Les prix sont corrects dans la norme locale. Le service est attentionné et tout le personnel assez souriant.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans ce restaurant 👍les plats sont bons et copieux, le personnel est agréable et l'ambiance est chaleureuse 😁 le tout dans dans un cadre merveilleux où le style alsacien nous transporte dans un autre univers
