Hôtel restaurant La Terrasse

Superb three days at La Terrasse. Everything from our discussions prior to booking through check-in was excellent. Our room 17 was very comfortable and in good order. The view over the river was very nice. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel which was very good. Thank you to all involved.

This is a great place to visit. The hosts are super helpful and friendly. We dined in one evening and the food was amazing. Views of the Dordogne river on the doorstep, or out of the window if you have the right room. The chateau is a bit quirky, as old buildings often are, in that there are two parts where rooms are accessed. One part has a conventional staircase and the other is via stone steps in a tower. There is parking outside of the hotel which is adjacent to the church and Mairie. A large square enables plenty of parking spaces. Well worth a visit.

The restaurant and its terrace are perfect. The service is very professional and friendly and the food delicious. The wine list is impressive. Overall an excellent culinary experience with very nicely crafted fresh and local products from an inventive chef.

Beautiful place and beautiful surroundings. The owner puts love on every single detail at the hotel. Dining at the restaurant was a very enjoyable experience. A very creative menu with impeccable service. Hope we can go back in the future!

A wonderful 11th century chateau in a fully renovated state. Room (Jr suite) was lovely overlooking the Dordogne river. Efficient check in and reception. Dinners on the terrace were very nice and a large selection of wines. Prices were quite reasonable, especially if compared with Paris! Plating was nicely done and portions satisfactory. Breakfast was average and perhaps a tad pricey at 13Euro but not significant enough to drop a star in the overall ratings. Definitely a spot I would return to and recommend to others.

I vacationed here over 3 years ago and I still think back to it often. It is one of the most charming places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The area was so quaint and the scenery was beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly. The dining experience was lovely, and they have some of the best espresso I've ever had. The whole experience was utterly enchanting. I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful terrace close to the Dordogne. The waiters were very friendly and very professional. The dishes were very nicely presented and it tasted wonderful. I would certainly recommend this restaurant when you are in the neighborhood.

Françoise provides an outstanding and exceptional visit. From the unique and individual roôms in the castle to the wonderful restaurant, which is far superior to the 1 star a few km away you will not be disappointed in your stay. Cannot wait to return.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. We had a great room on the top floor overlooking the Dordogne river. The room was large, comfortable and very quiet. We ate in the restaurant two nights in a row on the beautiful terrace overlooking the river as well and everything was excellent. Breakfast buffet was perfect. The owner Francoise was a real pleasure and works hard at making all her guests happy. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit Rocamadour which is just a short drive away. Staying at La Terrasse is much more pleasant than staying in the old town of Rocamadour that gets invaded by hordes of tourists. Nearby Gouffre de Padirac is also a must see... Just a warning: no elevators, be ready for a little exercise!

Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location and property, superb dinner with views over the Dordogne River. A delightful break and recommend without hesitation to others seeking the same.

Yet another great visit after too long away because of Covid. Great welcome, great service and great food on the glorious terrace. As ever we were made to be most welcome by all staff and the standards are even higher than ever.

It might be 32 years, that I am visiting and having rest at la Terrasse Meyronne. Each time i did get what I expected: relaxful stay, up to the top services, delighting cuisine and amazing surrounding.

Great place to stay, superb restaurant with views over the river and the valley. Close to kayaking stations and hiking routes.
