Planches et Plonk

We cannot recommend Planches et Plonk enough. The room was lovely and spacious, and had everything we needed. The location is amazing, and Graham and Damon were wonderful hosts and provided lots of great tips and recommendations during our stay.

We ate in the cheese and wine bar one evening and the food (and wine) was absolutely incredible. We asked Graham and Damon to recommend a couple of cheeses for us and they were absolutely delicious.

Obviously, Malbec deserves a special mention for being the best boy too!

When our stay came to an end neither of us wanted to leave and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future!

We booked table for lunch a while ago, after watching the hosts journey developing their excellent business on New Life in the Sun. We were not disappointed. The hosts, service and venue were excellent, we hope to return one day soon. Keep up the great work.

Lovely wine ,cheese, and meat platters run by two exceptionally charming and attentive patrons who know what they are doing. Set on a pedestrian street in a very pretty town in rural France. A fantastic experience.

We spent a lovely few hours enjoying lunch at Planches et Plonk. We had the charcouterie & cheese board. You had 8 x options (you can have just 4 or even 16 if you want), and we chose 5 x different cheeses and 3 x meat. We loved the Ezpela with chilli & the black ham, although was all good. It was well presented as shown. We chose a local red wine, Chateau Montdoyen Bergerac 2020. Delicious, so we had to buy two bottles to take away (should have bought more). Cheesecake to follow.
Damon & Graham are superb hosts and wish them continued success.

We often visit this little gem in Belvès. The food is fabulous, perfectly prepared and served by Damon and Graham. They are so hospitable and make the whole experience in their lovely cosy restaurant such a pleasure. We had the opportunity to stay overnight in March. So good to be able to eat, , drink and pad upstairs to bed. After a good nights sleep a lovely breakfast was served. Definitely our go to place. Brenda and Rod Bath

Wonderful place to eat and drink where you will be served by lovely hosts.Simple food but outstanding, lovely cheeses and meats to sample . We were in heaven.!

Will be visiting soon after watching it twice on television. A must go. Looks like a dream. You both clearly have a passion for what you do.

We stayed here during our trip to the Dordogne to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The room was fantastic with lovely views overlooking the stunning countryside. Damon and Graham were excellent, attentive hosts who took the time to make us feel welcome. Their knowledge of cheese and wine is as superb as the food and drink they serve. We ate and drank there two nights and couldn't have been happier. Breakfast was a nice relaxing continental style in the company of the dog Malbec who stole my wife's heart! We are sure to be back one day to enjoy your hospitality another time. Until then all the best for the future.

Excellent Planche with Cheese and charcuterie, superb wine and coffee. Great atmosphere and service! The selection of food and wine is choosen with great passion and love.
Even cleaning the tables is done with a certain passion :-)

We stayed for a night in the Pechamant room, lovely room, very quiet and extremely comfortable. We has a fantastic lunch, excellent cheese and charcuterie and superb wines. Would highly recommend.

We spent a lovely night in this B&B and enjoyed a lovely evening in the wine bar downstairs. They have a good selection of wines including a number of local wines and you can also order cheese, ham, olives etc to enjoy with your wine. It’s good to book a table as it’s a popular place.

Our first trip away after nearly 5 years and it was well worth it.
We stayed for 2 nights, everything was wonderful, the rooms, the wine, the food and of course the hospitality. Graham and Damien and not forgetting Malbec made us feel welcome from the first moment we met to saying goodbye.
Their knowledge of wine, cheese and charcuterie is amazing and eating at Planches et Plonk is an experience not to miss.
Belves and the surrounding villages are well worth visiting

We spent a wonderful evening here and rose to a simple yet strangely perfect breakfast, refreshed and ready to go. Graham and Damon are the perfect hosts. And of course there's Malbec. One of the friendliest pups in the Dordogne. If you're ever in Belves, you have to visit.

A fabulous stay with friends - the rooms are beautifully decorated with lovely soft furnishings and finishes.

Enjoyed delicious platters with locally sourced products and paired with some fabulous wines under the guidance of Damon and Graham who even took the time to sit with us and chat all things foodie at the end of a busy evening

Would highly recommend this as a night away in pretty Belvès… and don’t forget to pick up some of those delicious wines at their wine shop on the square, just around the corner

We stayed here for 4 nights, late April, and loved it. Our aim was to see as much of the Dordogne as possible and we certainly did that. The rooms are quaint and comfortable and Graham and Damon were great hosts and have a lovely set up in the heart of Belves. We will definitely be back and next time we will sample the cheese menu. Well done boys and Malbec!

We spent a wonderful three nights at Planche et Plonk, set in the heart of Belvès, a beautiful and surprisingly lively medieval town for March. Comfortable and very quiet bedroom. The owners were absolutely lovely and very helpful too (we were house hunting). We also enjoyed their delicious planche of local cheeses and charcuterie. Highly recommended.

Wow, savours unknown reached my taste buds... Thanks to Jo's advice, wine, cheese & coldcuts formed an unforgettable ensemble. Quite a piece of life got together on a single wood board. I'll saliver in my sleep til next time. Sweet dreams are made of just that!¿…
