A fantastic campsite run by a very accommodating & friendly couple. A good mix of large pitches. Toilet & shower facilities immaculately clean & quirky! Excellent location just off the A20. On site restaurant very good, particularly the pizzas! The dough base is made daily on site by boss man!! Would throughly recommend a stay!

Overnight stop with 7m Motorhome. Good friendly service with very busy owners making time for their guests. Excellent location just a few kilometres off A20. Beautiful spot with lake where swimming is allowed. Campsite has a small pool too. Bar and restaurant reasonably priced with a good indoor room and outdoor veranda with lakeside view. We will definitely return.

We are only here for one night, travelling north, but the service is excellent, the site is beautiful, loving the quirky bits (very special) and services good and very clean. Views of the lake are exceptional and there are good sized secluded pitches all round. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, when reception is closed, find a pitch and let them know when it opens again. I would certainly use it again and stay longer next time. Can't comment on bar/ restaurant operation as we didn't use it, but if others comments are sound, then I think they are likely correct. All in all a site worthy of a visit and the old town looks fantastic, again just sorry we were on a schedule!

Camped here for a night en-route to Spain. Very friendly staff and super clean facilities. Lovely lake views. Will return in warmer weather as the surrounding area is well worth a visit. Thanks for staying open all year, despite the challenges of the extreme cold.

A camping on a lovely location run by an even lovelier couple. Pitches are generous with ample privacy and shade if desired. Facilities are straightforward, nothing fancy (like some camping have them) but provide for all necessities.
The proximity to the lake provides for a relaxing surrounding. Some wonderful sunrises can be observed with the foggy water and land. Biking, swimming (pool or lake), mountain biking, walking, all can be done in the surrounding area.
The restaurant - run by the same couple and their hard working waitress - is very busy every evening. The menu is not too overwhelming but the food is really good.
Love the place, love the owners!!!

Very clean facilities.

Absolutely brilliant campsite, chilled out. Very very well maintained, toilets and showers are excellent, very clean. Food in the restaurant and bar, was absolutely delicious, I had to have 3 puddings they were that good. Service and staff absolutely fantastic. A great place with personal staff. Swimming pool, and lakeside camping spots. Very very quiet on a night which is excellent. Will definitely stay here again and definitely recommend to people.

This is a gem, tranquil and scenic with a wonderful restaurant which serves delicious fresh food at very competitive prices. The pitches mostly look over the small fishing lake and the delightful fields rising on the other side and the restaurant shares this view giving it a panoramic and restful atmosphere to enjoy the good food. We will return next year for more.

So glad we found this place (FB recommendation). It's quirky, it's friendly and the pitches are great. Super organised so even if you arrive early there is a cone indicating your pitch so you can set up even if reception not open ( if you have booked in advance). No distance at all to the lake beach with a blow up obstacle course and a life guard. Nice bar/restaurant overlooking the lake. Pretty village within walking distance as long as you don't mind an uphill walk. Super place!

Lovely memories from our 1 night stay in the campsite on our way up from the Pyrenees to Calais. We had a swim in the lake, followed by a nice dinner in the restaurant (nice food with reasonable prices served by friendly staff). They even lend us some duvets because of the unexpected chilly night and our limited camping gear. Freshy baked croissants and panachocolats in the morning. Clean toilets. What else to ask for?

My hubby and I visited here early March. We had developed a mechanical issue not long after arriving in France that needed attention. Alison (owner) went above and beyond to help us out and found us a mechanic, Garage Bayle, Meuzac, they were brilliant. They prioritised us and fixed us up within 24hrs and so friendly. Definitely recommend if you're unfortunate enough to be in similar situation in the area. We found the site to be so lovely, beautiful spot on the lake. Lovely walks. Early in the season, very quiet, restaurant, pool not open yet. 3 ⭐ but definitely worth more. Alison is just the loveliest person. It was a bank holiday while we were there so there wasn't a lot happening in the local village, 5 min walk, but my word, the most adorable little spot and so quaint . Definitely worth a visit. We will be calling in on our way back from Spain in May. Looking forward to it. Roni & Paddy

I would give 10 stars if I could, this place is perfect thanks to the amazing owners Ali and John. My wife and I are vegan and it can be a pain while travelling, but not here, they have an on site restaurant that is beautiful and eclectic and they made us special (not on the menu) dishes. I’ve never had someone who isn’t from India make me a vegan curry and onion bhajis that tasted that good. Same goes for the pizza, John is a master and hand makes them. The site has everything you need and the owners go above and beyond to help you. If you go, please tip because they deserve it. We will return in the summer of 2023 or sooner. Thanks for everything Camping de Montreal

Great campsite by Dutch owners. Everything is really clean and well kept. Especially the sanitary! Clean showers and toilets all day long and unlimited shower time. Nice and private pitches with some shade. Good lake to swim in and gives a beautiful view too
There is also a little swimming pool to cool off. Quiet campsite to relax. Great for passing through as well as a longer stay, would reccomend!

What a gem of a campsite. This is a 3 star site with 5 star quality. The pitches overlooking the lake are divided by tall hedges, so although from the opposite view everyone is in a line, no pitch is overlooked by its next door neighbour and you really do feel out on your own. The pitches on the upper terrace also have a good view of the lake plus a sanitaire block with toilets and showers, so there is no need to come down if you don't want to move far. On the lower terrace there is a double communal sanitaire block with toilets and showers to suit all needs including disabled facilities. Here, as far as I could see was the only place to find drinking water on the lower level, but was not an issue for us. Each plot is in close proximity to an electric point and easily accessible, many have a bench. The sanitaires are some of the cleanest and best maintained that I have come across in many years and no complaint could be found with the care and attention given to the site or the facilities. From first arrival visitors are made to feel at home and welcomed, with information and help to enjoy the stay posted in several languages. If the reception is unoccupied on your arrival, pitch up any any of the vacant and unreserved plots and book in later. The restaurant now serves fresh food prepared on site and although we did not eat there, were pleasantly surprised to see that veggie burgers were on the menu. The site is quiet, well maintained and a good stopover for the motorway. A stroll into town is less than 5 minutes, where you will find a convenience store with a large range of goods, or you can wander around the lake, sit on the manmade beach, use the campsite swimming pool, or just enjoy your plot. Wifi is free at reception. The new owner Alison is welcoming, friendly and her family and staff are working hard to ensure a satisfactory stay for visitors. Alison is British and speaks several languages. There are lovely touches around the site, such as quirky ornaments, posters on the wall, piped music in the sanitaires. I thoroughly recommend this site, whether you come for a one night stopover, or longer, you will not be disappointed and we will certainly be revisiting soon.

Agree with all the comments made by D Jones & would just like to add that we thoroughly enjoyed eating at campsite restaurant- limited menu but everything we ordered was delicious and it was such a joy to be able to wander to the restaurant (dogs welcome), relaxed and eclectic- we loved it. We thought the village was charming & particularly enjoyed having a drink at the Tabac/bar, great boulangerie. Thanks to Alison (works tirelessly to make a success of this site - so helpful) and her lovely team.

This is a comment on RestOLac the restaurant at the campground which has recently been taken over by Alison. We now enjoy going there and refer our guests there for evening meals, coffee or snacks. We, and they, say they enjoy the ambience, food, view over the lake and friendly service.

p.s Prior to Alison, the Dutch Management couple were not friendly therefore we did not recommend it to our guests and we would not go there ourselves.

A very nice site with friendly owners. Camped by the lake. Full facilities with a restaurant with nice food. Owners only taken over since April and can not do enough for you! Will definitely be back there. Close to a village for supplies.

Loved the location and that it's open late in the season. The little lakeside restaurant is charming and very busy too.( ideally I'd book on arrival)
