It's also incredibly dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for us. Our golden retriever loves the ambiance just as much as we do, and the staff always make a fuss over him, which adds to the overall welcoming atmosphere🥂

The food at La Taverne is consistently delicious, and the variety on the menu keeps things exciting. We've tried several dishes, and they never disappoint. The creamy, indulgent pasta topped with fresh arugula, the perfectly baked cheese with a side salad, and the delectable crème brûlée are just a few highlights from our recent visits. The food presentation is always beautiful, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into preparing each dish.

Dining here is always a pleasure, whether we're seated on the spacious summer terrace, enjoying the covered veranda, or relaxing in one of the intimate dining rooms.

Would highly recommend. We had a delightful lunch here. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Only lost a point because the duck had a few sinew in that made it a bit chewy. Otherwise..beautiful

Great meal here tonight,the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived and we hadn’t booked a table
But as there was just two of us,they fitted us in with the proviso that we vacated the table by 8:30 which suited us perfectly
Seafood cassoulet to start which had salmon,shrimp and a scallop in a creamy sauce
Lamb in a filo pastry case with garlic cream sauce
The food with a large beer,a pinot rouge aperitif and half a litre of house red came to €53
It was all delicious,service was friendly,prompt but not rushed

Beautiful terrace restaurant in a lovely village run by a friendly Dutch owner Carmen. We had a mid week dinner as a party of 5 - definitely need to book! Delicious and inventive menu using locally sourced ingredients, beautifully presented and with helpful waiting staff. Dog friendly. We recommend the lamb shank and the duck and ordered an extra serving of the chocolate mousse as it was so good!

Went here as part of a wedding party the night before the wedding. Carmen and team did a super job. The food was top notch and service was excellent.

We had two wonderful meals here during a stay in Aubeterre whilst attending a wedding. The service was very friendly and the food and wine delicious. In fact it was so good that we returned for second time. Highly recommend.

A group of us ate here the evening before a family wedding. Everybody enjoyed themselves and we were well looked after. Even got to have a little dance with Carmen before we left!
Would certainly revisit if ever back in those parts.

We had a fabulous meal at La Taverns Pierre Very. It was a warm October evening so we were able to sit outside on the terrace. The food was really nice- you can tell that the kitchen puts a lot of effort and care into each dish. They also had vegetarian options which is amazing for small French village dining. Really nice evening and good value for money, very pleased!

The food was absolutely delicious, they handled the sudden rain very well, finding cover for everyone. The servers were very lovely and kind.

Absolutely gorgeous food in your typical rural french restaurant. We called ahead and they hosted a party of 18-20 people comfortably without any mistake in orders.
The menu was a set menu (not sure if it differed from their regular) and I had confit de cannard for main (delicious) and a chocolate pudding for desert (pictured).
Wonderful place in a quaint tourist town. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Lovely restaurant in this pretty town. I've never had frogs legs as an amuse bouche before! We all enjoyed them to varying degrees. Loved my fish starter and rabbit main course. Good children's menu. Lovely puds. I want to come back in the summer and sit on the terrace.

We ate here on Thursday night and it was just wonderful, we sat on the back outside terrace a large table of 13. The whole experience was just amazing. The food was delicious and tasty and the service was 1st class. It was a great way to start our holiday in Fance.

This was a beautiful food, culture and welcoming experience. This is a fantastic restaurant that gives the same high level of French cuisine and professionalism to both visitors and locals. It has a lovely family atmosphere, welcomes children, and has options for them but also the best French cuisine. The price is great value for money and staff are exceptional. Five stars is not enough..

We arrived not long after midday as a party of 4 on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon in April… without booking. We were lucky (and very grateful) to be given the last table. Very welcoming and polite service with excellent cuisine - both children and adults very very happy! All at a very reasonable price too! 🙌🏼👍🏼x
