Can’t wait to visit Chez Paul again. These guys are super friendly. The quiches and cakes are amazing and all home made. Always difficult to choose lol. A real treat to stop here for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed. See you soon!

Super friendly, we spent a while here, drank 3 coffees and ate the most delicious muffins ever. All handmade and fresh. After getting another newly created muffin for free, we came back 5 minutes later and bought some more.
Also there is a small shop for cushions, pottery and small useful gadgets.
Absolutely recommended!

Found this super cute and amazing little café situated in the most romantic village of France. The pastry is to die for, the coffe is amazing and the wonderful guys working there makes you feel truly welcome. If we could, we would buy and eat every single item in there with great pleasure. Can’t recommend it enough and we really hope to be back one day!
Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴

Discovered this cosy tea room whilst on a fleeting trip to Carennac. What a good find! Extremely well priced. Very good coffee, an amazing passion fruit cheesecake, yummy cookie. Really nice guys to chat to. They make all their own cakes wow! Will return again if in the area. Good luck with it all 👌🏼

We ended up in Carennax by accident, not realising that the Gouffre de Picard was a very, very, very popular tourist destination. We are spontaneous by nature and decided to just check it out on our way from Vichy to Toulouse. What ended up happening was that we had to wait 3 hours for our tour of the Gouffre and spent some time walking around beautiful Carennac and ended up at Chez Paul's. The atmosphere and vibe were really nice and Paul was very lovely! And the muffiiiiiiins!! We bought two to eat down by the river and then realised we probably should have bought (at least) two each because they were absolutely delicious, the best muffins we have ever had!

Cute little cafe in a beautiful village.
Enjoyed waiting for a freshly made sandwich while talking to one of the owners.
The brownie is a must try - cant remember eaten anything like it. Self-made too!
And still good prices.

Coming again!

We stopped at Paul’s charming cafe after an exhausting day of village hopping, but by that time the restaurants have closed. Fortunately there were still a few of the quiches left and they saved us. Are they home-made? They tasted like it. We scarfed down every crumb. The proprietor (Paul?) was very gracious and pointed us to magazines in English introducing us to the region. Also, I want to add the ambience and the little store attached really added to the enjoyability of our visit. The prices were very good for the quality and the ambiance.

I bought a caramel muffin to go, which I take it is not exactly authentic local but OMG it was good. Sticky, toothsome and not too sweet. I ate it the next morning and it was still perfectly moist.

This is a great tea room with a huge range of Paul's homemade goods to try (I had the Ferrero Rocher muffin and loved it, and my partner said the quiche and blueberry muffin were both delicious!) ☺ The prices are really reasonable too!

We really enjoyed chatting to the owners - they're super friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you both - you made our visit to Carennac more lovely 😄

Definitely recommend! ✨

A warm welcome, comfortable atmosphere, brilliant coffee and home made cakes and scones with jam and cream. After a great coffee enjoy browsing the adjoining gift shop with attractive gifts and local produce at reasonable prices.

Lovely cafe with selection of homemade cakes/muffins. Also sell (gift) items for home & garden such as lamps, plant pots, tea pots etc. Great place for a cuppa in the middle of a very pretty village. Friendly, welcoming owners too.

THE BEST SCONES I HAVE EVER EATEN. Original, home-made GOODNESS. Those scones made me happy all day long. Not since Ireland have I tasted such awesomeness.
