Le Domaine d'Essendiéras

Last week I visited Domain D'Essendieras with my band Ducktape. We facilitated a whole evening of live music for the guests of the sunday night barbeque. The owner, Floris, is clearly very passionate about the chateau and goes out of his way to create the best possible experience for his guests. The chateau is incredibly beautiful and rustic, the barbecue was delicious and the swimming pool was the cleanest I've ever seen. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly (shout-out to Ben aka the fries master!).

Stayed here for 2 nights as my brother was getting married 15 min north of here and I had to book last min. What a fantastic hotel. Room was quiet and spacious. We stayed in a room that walked out to a courtyard. Reception was fantastic and helpful.

Only downside (not really a downside, more a little unusual by NA hotel standards) was the lack of shower. There was a shower handle at tub level but I had to hold it up for my wife to shower and he had to do the same. I do regret not playing a round as I am an avid golfer and if things get back to normal I may be back for a couple of days relaxing in the french countryside!

They picked up the phone ad accepted us at 2:30am when we realized the other hotel we booked wouldn’t check us in because too late. They saved us! Thank you so much!

Ps: The number of stars you can see at night it’s mind blowing, the Milky Way is clearly visible. Amazing!

The venue was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. We booked our wedding here and from the outset Helena was not only professional but a pleasure to work with. Her attention to detail was phenomenal and was able to assist with any queries we had raised. Josefine was co-ordinating our wedding day and again was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made our day special and went above and beyond. This place and the people running it will make your day. The rooms, buildings and grounds are well kept and our guests were blown away. Once again thank you Helena and Josefine. We are so happy we chose this location.

Beautiful castle in a pretty region. The place is authentic and full of pretty old furnitures.
It has been a pleasure to stay in the castle for a couple nights, and to enjoy the well organised wedding party and its tasty meal.

Everything here was perfect, except the shower water which was generally cold.

This was the most beautiful fairytale château to host a wedding of 55 people at. Most of the guests journeyed all the way from Australia and were completely amazed at how much more impressive this place is in real life. Immaculate grounds and beautiful buildings created the perfect week in south France.
Highly recommend the spa on site as the two English girls who run it have created a beautiful space in the petit château and can't do enough to help you.
We stayed in the Maison De Gardien with two families and others booked either a chamber or one of the pavilions to share. If you go in peak season though some of the larger accomodations require to you book for a week minimum.
Le afin Chapon in town was also an excellent restaurant - great food and good prices.
We'll definitely be back.

Nous avons fêter notre mariage le 31 juillet 2021… déjà…

Nous parlions de notre mariage avec des amis ce midi, et je viens de réaliser que je n’avais pas pris le temps de donner notre avis.

Nous avons fêté les 18 ans de notre fils dans ce magnifique lieu. Tout était parfait, mené de mains de maître: la cuisine, le service, les hebergements, le petit-déjeuner et sans oublier l'accueil chaleureux.

Nous nous sommes mariés en août 2023. Tout a été strictement parfait, et nous avons été très satisfaits de l'accompagnement de toute l'équipe (Helena, Karine, Mélina et Joséphine surtout !) pour ce moment magique et unique. Grâce à eux nous avons profiter pleinement de notre mariage sans à réfléchir à chaque étape. Le repas était délicieux, et l'organisation ficelée. Nous avons réussi à loger 95 personnes sur le domaine le soir du mariage, et les invités étaient ravis. Les logements sont variés et on permis de s'adapter à tous les budgets (gites, bungalow, chambres d'hôtel). La salle de réception est magnifique, tout en bois. La vue sur la vallée depuis la piste de danse est incroyable.
Un grand merci encore à toute l'équipe pour leur attention et leur professionnalisme !
Si je peux me permettre une remarque peut être, il serait plus pratique de pouvoir accéder à la salle de réception pour la décorer jusqu'à tard le soir, 18h c'est un peu court pour finir les derniers préparatifs.

Nous serons ravis de venir fêter nos futurs anniversaires de mariage au Domaine d'Essendieras !
