I wish I could give 6 stars! On our first night to Alpe d'Huez, we arrived after everything closed, we were walking and around we noticed the lights were on and the door was cracked open, the place was closed, but the owner invited us in, saying the oven was still warm and she would make us a pizza! It was a great pizza!

On our last night staying we decided we needed to go back for some pizza, this time when we arrived, the owner once again gave us a very warm welcome and gave the background of how her family recipe in the fresh sauce and how she makes her own dough.

Such a friendly place, when we go back again, this will be the place we eat at first!

This place was fantastic with a great atmosphere. We booked ahead due to it being very popular each time we'd walked past.
The pizzas were excellent, good sized and really well priced. The service was also great and really friendly, it was definitely the best place we are in Alpe d'Huez.
Would highly recommend for a really fun evening!

The best pizza by far in Alpe D’Huez!
Finally got a booking for 2 on our final day and my god was it worth it!
We got a margarita and ham and mushroom pizza both amazing I also got the ravioli with extra Gonzalo cheese and this was a game changer!
We was offered an off the menu dessert, chocolate lava cake and that sent me to heaven! Out of this world! Amazing!
If you’re in Huez definitely visit!

Best pizza and cheesy garlic bread fit for the gods! Not to mention great sections of wine, yummy lasagna and epic chocolate sauce to finish. A small restaurant with everything made fresh and from scratch. Steph is the most wonderful lady and her restaurant is a reflection of her personality. I keep coming back again and again and again!

Delicious pizza, friendly service. Cash only. The curly-haired half-Sicilian woman was particularly nice.
Only lesser point is that their chilli oil was made with sunflower oil, which seems like an odd thing to cut costs.

Best pizza in France, no doubt.
Stephani the manager and chef was so nice and fun to speak with, and her pizzas were amazing.
They make all the sauces and toppings by themselves, and it is delicious!
I really recommend this Pizzeria - for its taste, the crew, the music, the warm and classy atmosphere, i am pleased.

The best pizza I’ve ever had. Came here 2 nights in a row, had La Soveraine first night and Les Bergers pizza the second night. It’s the bread, it’s sooooo good. 100% recommend

Pizza and pasta place with a great selection of pizzas and an excellent pizza dough. Very touristy, prices for individual-size pizzas in between €16-25

Wicked. Good was brilliant and service was amazing. Tasted really fresh. It is a small places so atmosphere was good. Worth a visit.

Fantastic place, super friendly and accommodating, slightly off the beaten track, but all the better for it. Superb pizza hand made in front of our own eyes. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Third visit to Le Roy Ladre, 2015 2016 and now in 2023...every time the pizza's and chocolate fondant have been delicious and Stephanie an excellent host. Make sure you ring a few days before to book a table as very popular.

Friendly staff and pizza was very good. Slightly slow service as it's a small operation, but would definately recommend.

Excellent Pizza and super host/proprietor.
We arrived late for our booking due to a delayed Taxi but we were still welcomed and enjoyed a very nice meal and bottle of wine. All pizzas are prepared by hand with the best of local ingredients and organic flour. The cheese was particularly good. We then asked for assistance to order a taxi as the taxi that brought us was finished for the evening. The proprietor was very accommodating and phoned a few but there was no answer from any. (Seems to be a usual issue in Alpe D’Huez). Then she very kindly offered to give us a lift in her own car to our Chalet which was too far away and uphill to walk. Now that is what we call excellent service. Thank you so so much!!!
We are very happy to recommend this casual but very good Pizza restaurant. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Alpe D’Huez.

Small and cozy restaurant with a great owner baking great pizza. Went there back in 2014 and now again in 2019. The place was fully loaded, but still they accommodated us by sharing table with others. These makes experience even better. Pizza's are not cheap to Belgian standards.

Best pizza I've had in a while! Really good pizza but make sure you order before you plan to get it if it is for takeaway. The French word for takeaway is Emporta if you don't want to eat there, we had it via takeaway as we were staying in Chalet Josef (30 seconds from the restaurant) and spent the rest of the holiday craving their pizza.

Just go there and try, owner is cooking for You! ❤❤❤

Incredible food , Stephanie the owner is amazing. The atmosphere is second to none,would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Alp d'huez.
